    Gave it my best shot

So I just had a cortisone shot for tendonitis (in all probability not guitar related, as it happens) but before that, I wanted to do one last video before the healing begins.

Seattle, I still want to see your video of this because I expect you can do more justice to the solo than I, and set speed definitely makes a difference

Best of luck in the challenges this week everyone!

Good job dude! Heal up quick, I know would be itching twice as hard to play, "if" I could not!

    Thanks!

I'm supposed to get about 4 months of relief at minmum and it can potentially heal it all the way, too. I guess I'll have a better idea if this cures it around December.

And I want to play so bad right now >.>, but not at all until the weekend.

So, did the Doctor tell you that you wouldn't be able to play for a while? Did they give you a time frame when you could start ing again? Or is it just that your tendonitis bothers you too much while playing?

Great video, and I hope to put one up someday. But I'm no where close to being good enough to do a video and be comfortable that I won't get flamed. Not by the people here, but by the random youtube visitor.

That's a really nice Studio. The Wine Red is one of my favorite colors.

So for 3 days after the shot I'm not to 'use the wrist', so no guitar at all. After that I'm allowed to lightly use it for guitar, typing, etc (typing right-handed now). I'm interpreting that as no heavy bending, high-pressure chord shapes or big stretches, and a limit of a half hour with a hard stop if it bugs me.

A week after that I'm going to be on a cruise with no guitar >.>.

So the plan right now is to resume more or less normal guitar playing in the beginning of Sept when I'm back.

And as for videos, don't let the evil Youtube hordes deter you too much. You can always post 'unlisted' videos, or disable comments, and share them with friends and family or the nice folks here. And in general, RS vids are judged less harshly than other guitar vids (for whatever reason)

Some of the earliest videos I took make me cringe when I watch/listen now, but are great for measuring progress (feels good to see how far I've come) and/or seeing what you think you need to work on. This is the first video I ever took, about 3 years ago now, and I'm glad I took it:

Keep at it . And thanks for the comment on the guitar; I'm really happy with the Studio; really the only real electric I own but I haven't played one I've liked as well.

Might as well do it and not worry about what people say. I'm no master yet, but have put up 9 videos so far and thus far only comments are from friends and very few views. So I say go wild if you want to do some videos. Really makes it easier to show off progress to friends and family as well as lets you see how much you're really improving as well.

If you want can even see my channel with my videos at http://www.youtube.com/mreevilways and I guarantee there's plenty of mistakes in every song.

I got the same exact guitar. How are you liking it? I really like the tone, but the thing weighs a ton.

Are you sure you have the studio? It looks a lot like other Les Paul models but by all accounts (from those who have hefted it) is way lighter than a standard. It feels pretty light to me and I love it .
