The game is still in a very early alpha status, so we are right now not able to tell you, when the closed beta will start. We will be around to provide you with information and updates in the next weeks and months.

Will this be for Asia only again?

That Asian version was a licensed mmo version just intended for the asian market, I think it was based on Heroes III.

This new one is being developed by Blue Byte as a browser game, and I think it's based on Heroes VI, and will no doubt be eventually available world wide.

Based on my experience with previous Blue Byte browser game releases, it may not be released in all countries at once, they may open different servers as the beta gets under way, that's what they've been doing with Settlers Online since the first servers opened in Germany.
