Is there something wrong with the turret? | Forums

Is the turret on this game severely underpowered or has incredibly short range? I keep shooting the soldiers at the guard posts with the turret but it takes FOREVER to kill them. They can hit me just fine with their rifles but I can't seem to hit them. They're not that far away either. And when I'm shooting the NPC that's on a vehicle's turret with my turret I have to shoot them for like 4-5 seconds. Their jeep is right in front of mine. But one or two shots from my shotgun will take them out.

Is this a bug? I have version 1.03.

No bug. If you are using a PC then right click the mouse and set your sight on the merc, a couple bursts will drop him. Also the so called turret you are referring to is the smallest caliber ( 50 caliber ) as there are three as the game progresses. Next one up is a 75 MM and one direct burst flattens the merc. Five or six quick bursts directly into the radiator of their vehicle ( whether they are in it or not will produce black smoke, the fire from engine resulting in explosion of vehicle. Next size gun on the ATV ( Assault truck Vehicle ) is the "Grenade Launcher" which will blow up many things in one blast. WARNING do not shoot something up close to you with the grenade Launcher or you may be GONE.

Take your sweet time playing this game, do not be a "Hit and Run" type guy or you will not like this game. And for pete's sake don't be macho and start off playing "Infamous" level as its NOT designed for you to win. Whether it hurts your "Ego" or not "Easy" is the best way to start at least your first game so you can get the hang of it.

I've over 180 FC2 games under my belt, quit for couple months and am back again. LOVE IT!

Take LostGunner's advice, take your time. Explore the world and practice different tactics.

As for blowing yourself up. Well I've done that with hand grenades, RPGs, IEDs, M79 launcher, Carl Gustav (burned myself up with that too!)...well pretty much anything that can or will explode.

It doesn't make sense though. My rifles cause more damage and has more range than the .50 caliber turret. It's stupid. I have finished playing this game and it was extremely unsatisfying. Most of your time is spent driving and killing guards at the guardposts. The gameplay is all the same--drive somewhere, kill someone, take something, blow something up, come back, rinse and repeat. Ubisoft really screwed up with this. Awful game.

I agree, Take your time and have fun.
My only wish is that UBI would make a patch so that My friend and
I could play this game Co-Oped. It would be awesome to play as a team.
