Since recently coming back from PAX I found out gaming on the go was quite hard. I traveled with my laptop but could not play anything on the airplane due to there being no power supply, is there a way around that like a portable one that I could charge before I go and then use on the airplane. Then again it could just be my computer, I have been having power issues with it since I've bought it

I travel a lot with my systems and games. For the last three years I have had to be available at least once a week for our team game nights (Frag Doll Friday, Dolls & Devs, Girls Night In, Community Game Night) so I have to be able to get online and play no matter where I'm at. Sometimes it takes a little extra planning but it's always worth it. I have set up to play in some really interesting situations, so it keeps it fun.
I always bring my Xbox, sometimes I bring two (I have also brought my Wii and Kinect on occasion). I have a CD holder that I load up with at least 30 games and I bring my Astro headset and sound system.
If I was ever in a hotel long enough they will usually let me have the password to the good internet so I can play online. For Christmas vacation one year we rented a house on an island. I brought my Xbox & Wii and a ton of games. The house didn't have a TV so I purchased one from Best Buy and then returned it before we left just so we could play video games over the break.
It would be weird to travel without all my gaming stuff.

Hahah you bought a T.V then returned it! That's very creative, a girl has to get her game in :P. On the last I went on you had to pay for the internet
I was going to play some Guild Wars but instead I had to go outside ^_^

After my travels, it turned out that I had to move house and currently am on my laptop crashing at my parents place while the new apartment gets organized. -__-"
I tried to go lighter this time, since everything else needed to get packed away in boxes -- I have 3 books, my phone, iPad and PS Vita as well as my laptop and my Logitech mouse. But it's absolutely killing me that I keep making YT vids since my laptop can't handle editing, and I've no other way to record HD vids. I swear, if it's not one problem...
At the same time, I'm feeling much less hectic with fewer gear -- I can see the benefits of travelling lighter on vacations.
