Thread: UBI has failed us, But we still have some hope. | Forums

UBI has failed us, But we still have some hope.

Its obvious that UBI is no longer concerned with their fans, they've grown so much in the past years that there taking on a "ROCKSTAR GAMES" type attitude of "WE KNOW WHATS BEST!" totally disreguarding their true fan base.

The only hope we have will ever get what we want is through these 2 VERY ambusious yet distinct projects.

Project takedown- (emphisis on close quarters combat. COMING TO CONSOLES) http://www.serellan.com/

    Ground Branch - http://groundbranch.com/

I think we've all heard of the later, so I wont go into that. Do your own reserch.

Bottom line is UBI Doesent CARE what their fans want. there focused on WHATS GOING TO MAKE THEM THE MOST MONEY AND WHATS GOING TO KEEP THEM NECK & NECK with EA & activision, And when you think about it; that just comes down to having a VERY LARGE FANBASE. (ie. Rock* & activision) The negitive to having such a large fanbase is of course, everybody whats somthing diffrent so the truth is somewhat distorted.

To clarify, in the FAQ sections of the websites they stated that they are to be released on the PC first, with consideration for a console port, which I have no problems with at all, as they believe in all their years of experience that this is the best way to develop them. There is no 100% guaranteed release for the consoles. If they are to be released on the consoles they promise they will be exactly like the PC version, no dumbing down like you usually see with PC ports, but I really don't care because I'm planning on getting them for the PC anyway.

How do we know they care? They never communicate w/ us. They force changes into series, despite overwhelming objections. If UBISOFT did care, the last Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon would not have been completely botched. Not only do they not care, they are completey unflexable once they get an idea in their heads. Its one thing to simply say you care. But we want you to show you care and prove you care. I agree w/ the OP and furthermore not only is UBI acting like rockstars here lately, they also behave like politians. You can draw you own conclusions from that. I'm just sick of the BS. And if the next Splinter Cell and Rainbow get botched also, I'm done forever w/ UBI. I think that goes for alot of older fans like myself.

Yet another warning from a long time fan Ubi Soft, take heed to this warning or I guarantee you the Tom Clancy brand will forever hold its piece. People are already slowly jumping ship, so think about that very clearly before you release any more info on Patriots and have a full understanding of who your real target audience is. When Takedown, Ground Branch and whatever future games SOF studios is working on is released and they live up to the expectations the rest of us will flee en masse leaving this turd to your beloved imaginary "casual" audience, see how well that works out for you against Call of Duty and other big name shooters that you try with your every fiber to copy to make a quick buck. I almost have a full friends list on Xbox Live and no one plays Future Soldier except no more than two people every once in a good while. What was once of the most popular shooters on the market and at the very top of the most played on Xbox Live isn't even in the top ten. This should tell you that something is seriously wrong with the game Ubi Soft. I'll give you a starting point to finding out the problem, the game is a piece of crap and isn't worthy of being called Ghost Recon.

I never said I didn't like the Clancy brand, I just don't like Ubi Soft, like many others. They ought to sell the brand off to someone who will do it justice before they ruin it anymore than they already have, companies with people that have experience making real tactical shooters, Blackfoot or Serellan studios to be exact, or even Bohemia Interactive. Like many others who are still here, Patriots is Ubi Soft's last chance we are giving them to give us a real Rainbow Six game, however futile that may be. Contrary to popular belief, Red Storm entertainment isn't any more innocent in this debasement either, for it is they who is responsible for Lockdown, the game that started the downfall. The sudden departure of David Sears certainly isn't making Ubi Soft's image any better either, and they know this, that's why we haven't heard anything about this from them.

I don't mean to instigate. But.... LMAO!!!

It is late where I am and apparently I am also delirious. Thanks for making my evening with that one.
Made the water fly out my mouth. Lol. Gotta love the forums man.

    *EDIT*
I suggest when you guys are finally done with Ubisoft, cancel your uplay accounts (uplay shows what you have purchased) enmass along with your forum account.
They can track this, thus, the whole action speaks louder than words will probably help your cause.

Otherwise, it's just words in a forum. Gotta use actions fellas.
