I voted yes for the following reasons:
    1) Not a fan of consoles
    2) Portability - with PC/Steam I can play it anywhere I have a computer with Steam installed - Home office, Laptop, work (self-employed)
    3) Better graphics and frame rates - at least for most games - Not sure if RS could take advantage of the extra processing power or not.

If they give me my DLC from PSN, why not? That way if I feel like I want to play only one song quickly, I can without plugging in my PS3 (I use my PC monitor and speakers).

The DLC being transferable is not ever going to happen, don't get your hopes up, that's not something that's ever happened, and most likely will never happen from any pub/dev.

That being said, I'm buying the PC version. I stopped buying DLC because I planned on this.

My biggest reason, is my sound card. I have a sound card built for stereo sound with a built in headphone amplifier for my high impedance headphones. So I'm going to have the least amount of lag on my PC. I never wanted to change my entire audio setup for rocksmith when the xbox is designed for surround sound. The other thing that I thought of recently is I will be able to fraps the game, and record myself with a camera separately. I probably won't ever do it, but I the option is there. I'm sure there's some other things with recording and playback that could be done, I just can't think up.

Own it already on PS3, going to get it on360 when it's out here, because I'd rather play it on 360 than PS3, I thought about getting it for PC for when I want to play it when the wife is hogging the TV, but it really depends what DRM, if any they'll be using, if it's the always online thing that Ubi has been using for a while, I'll pass.

    1. I already have teh DLC
    2. it is already connected to the TV and home theater
    3. It is already configured
    4. Songs are already leveled/mastered
    5. The hardware is dedicated to high performance/real time (do you guys think performance will be better on PC?)
    6. It is already paid for
    7. I am used to it

Why would I spend money buying the PC version if I already have the PS3 version? What are your reasons?

Edit: just remembered one more advantage of my PS3 version. I already know what (not) to do in order not to freeze/crash the system! PC/Windows? Never had one that did not crash unexpectedly (this since 1986... XP has been the most stable so far)!
Hmmm, these are all the points that have me sitting on the fence right now.
On the other hand, for me, the positives in my view are
    1. Portability (laptop) and access when the kids are hogging the TV where I like to play.
    2. Possible elimination of lag
    3. I don't know if steam preempts this or not, but I held out hope that at some point in the future there would be "custom" external tabs or tools to allow creation of "unlicensable" songs (you know who you are ) This was very much a distant bonus item though.

btw does anybody know if Steam allows one to run the game on two PCs in the same house or whatever?
If you say 'gullible' slowly it sounds like 'oranges'.

Yeah, I guess that PC version will get mods no matter what, because there is always someone willing to do mods on PC.

Scorehero has been working on that and they haven't really made much progress- the PC version isn't going to magically change that.
