I was looking at all the unlockables available

    All I noticed was Gibson's?

    Where's all the Strats Man?

Hendrix, SRV, David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Robert Cray - I don't want no Epiphone isn't that like a Fender Bullet or Squire???

Man, i'd even settle for a Jackson Strat body HSH or an ESP

I believe Rocksmith has a marketing agreement with Gibson.

You are correct. The bundle is with an Epi and the opening of the game has the faceless player jamming on Gibson and Epiphone models.
-So Ezio...where does an Assassin learn guitar these days?
    -Rocksmith...

This. Won't be seeing any Fenders any time soon in this game.

Does it really matter though? What difference does it make other than fretboard markings?
My pick-up toggle switch has 3 modes: Swank, Extra Swank, and Super Swank

Yeah, I actually switched out to one with block inlays as soon as was possible. Makes it easier to pick out the fret markers when the screen gets real busy.

But there is a cool/trippy feeling when your real-world guitar's neck shows in the game

For the same reason that there are not any Lesters or 335s in Rock Band 3. Besides, I happen to like my Squire quite well.
