Most of the song is easy. There are three sections where you're hitting the:

    Code:
    -7----|-9----|------|------|
    ------|-9----|-9----|-12---|
    ------|-9----|-9----|-12---|
    ------|------|-10---|-13---|
    ------|------|------|------|
    ------|------|------|------|
It repeats and then the last chord runs 4 more times before hitting two more.

It's not a hard run, it's just that Rocksmith doesn't seem to recognize every strum. I'll get every other strum or if I play it a fraction of a second before the chord hits the screen (almost like I have to let it calm down a tad to register).

So I'm running through the Riff Repeater and playing it correctly but seeing flash, red, flash, red, red, flash even though it's the exact chord 5 times in a row. That's why the game is great for motivating but sort of sucks for really being an instructional tool. You need someone to watch and listen and go, "here's your problem; push your fingers against the fret" or "you need to mute it between plays" or "play it closer to the bridge".

I've gone through all the songs and level set them. Now I'm really working on the songs trying to get better. Now the work begins

I'm trying to recognize that part, but it doesn't look familiar for some reason. What's the time stamp on that part? maybe I can help. I just got over 100k on this without having to do multiple strums on the chords. I found once I stopped trying to focus on the exact timing, it just came naturally.

It's the section after the signature tune (like section 3, 6, and 9). Purple-7, purple/green/orange-9, green/orange-9 (at 88%; add blue-10 at 100%), repeat then play the green/orange/blue for 5 plays, then a green-13, then green-13/orange-14 before returning to the signature tune.

I'll see if I can capture it tonight and upload it.

I know that there are times when I get into the groove and seem to hit it just right (on other songs).

I actually have my note layout wrong. The 9's are 10's and the one 10 is an 11.

hmmm, I'm guessing you're talking about the chorus and by extension the modulated chorus. I actually played this all with my neck pickup. The pup height is pretty low too. If you're just trying to level it, hitting the note several times in rhythm is probably your best best. I believe there were even times I would strum the high e in those cords and it seemed to pick them up a bit better. I do know this one is picky on timing and clarity though. There are several songs where you can get away with *****ering cords, this is not one. Gotta make sure every note in the chord rings out. In my case I was usually accidentally muting the g string.

This is def one that takes patience. You have to hit near 100% to master. It's fun though, so it's worth it.

Weirdly last night, I was hitting the strings in the chord at an angle vs straight down and it seemed to recognize the chord more often. Still not enough. I got all the parts at 100% in RR but when I played the full song, it dropped the modulated chorus back down to 88%.

I listened to the playback all the way through and I sound pretty crappy with pauses, missed notes, etc I guess more practice is in store so I can play better.
