Guitar playing is both extremely easy for me and extremely difficult for me at the same time.

EDIT: My bad. Looks like they technically disbanded in 2008 for 3 years.

    BUT...

You forgot Cover Up (2008). All covers, has the best version of Black Betty I've ever heard. The last track is Willie Nelson singing Stigmata.

Silverchair is on an indefinite hiatus as of last year I think. It's safe to say it's over for them. Skid row has a different singer than they did when they were more famous.

Sebastian Back just put out a new album this or last year, I believe.

The case, the text on the casette, everything said ZZ Top. Pop in it and it was Psalm 69. I didn't know it then but I sure as hell knew it wasn't ZZ Top. Instantly loved it. It was the only cassette I played in my car for a long time. It was about 2 weeks in before I even knew who it was because a relative was in my car and knew who it was. There was no internet back then, I had no easy way to figure it out, but I sure did like it!

That reminds me of when Napster was the big deal. I was just getting into punk music. There's a band called Me First and the Gimme Gimme's that do only cover songs. So in Napster you would find pretty much any punk sounding song that was a cover, was incorrectly titled as being a Me First song.

Ah yes, thank you. Quite a few awesome covers on there actually.
Oh and that's not actually Willie Nelson singing the bonus track. It is just a fan impersonating him.

For anyone interested, here are the tracks on Ministry's cover album...

    1. "Under My Thumb" - 3:58 - (The Rolling Stones)
    2. "Bang a Gong" - 4:48 - (T.Rex)
    3. "Radar Love" - 5:21 - (Golden Earring)
    4. "Space Truckin'" - 3:51 - (Deep Purple)
    5. "Black Betty" - 3:21 - (Lead Belly)
    6. "Mississippi Queen" - 3:14 - (Mountain)
    7. "Just Got Paid" - 3:13 - (ZZ Top)
    8. "Roadhouse Blues" - 4:27 - (The Doors)
    9. "Supernaut" - 7:08 - (Black Sabbath)
    10. "Lay, Lady, Lay" - 5:44 - (Bob Dylan)
    11. "What a Wonderful World" - 7:01 - (Louis Armstrong)

    Bonus tracks

    • "What a Wonderful World (Short Slow Version)" - 4:17
    • "What a Wonderful World (Short Fast Version)" - 3:35
    • "Willie Stigmata" - 1:04 (sung by anonymous fan, affecting a Willie Nelson voice.)

Yeah WTF happened to Jessie and the Rippers? Lol

On another note thanks for taking me down memory lane on a lot of bands I had totally forgotten about. I'll need to burn up my credit card at the iTunes store with some of this stuff. I think this thread is telling me we need an occasional one hit wonder pack from RS. Two or three times a year would be awesome. (Sticky thread material. I know. )
-So Ezio...where does an Assassin learn guitar these days?
    -Rocksmith...

    Whatever happened to.... PONG?

Frank Black never disappeared - but the title of thread inspired me to share this from the "Teenager of the Year" tour. If you get just one Frank Black CD - get TOTY.

    Enjoy!
