Can I add my game on steam? Tried but say's invalid cdkey. | Forums

Well, I know it works since I played the game and activated it already before I hit my yeti minidump wall using Uplay. I tried adding the game on steam with the cdkey but it's telling me it is invalid.

Has anyone else had this problem? Usually I can get games on steam with the cdkey without a problem. I checked on steam itself and they do sell the game so I am not sure why this isn't letting me do it.

You can't add a game like that. Steam's copies of GRFS are provided to them by Ubisoft for in-game linking. You have to add the Launcher as an external game if you buy from a source besides Steam.

hah I c. I really don't like this Uplay at all... =/ I have a lot of other games on steam. Not sure why other companies feel it necessary to make their own software for this kind of thing. EA did it, everyone still hates origin ( I know I do ). Meh.. whatevs.

Well, GRFS bought from Steam still launches through UPlay anyways.
