    New install problems

Alright all you mighty computer and SH4 wizards. You may remember a while back, I had a very nasty virus that eventually caused me to have to replace my HD. I finally took some time and did a fresh install of SH 4 v1.5, downloaded and installed the latest versions of 7zip, JSGME, TMO 2.5. Rebooted after each install, checked the stock version of SH4 to make sure it ran ok. I then went through the mod installation with TMO 2.5, JSGME had the mod and activated it fine as far as I could tell. Closed everything down and opened SH 4 to start a new career and no TMO. Tried everything I knew to do and could not get TMO to run, just stock. I obviously missed something somewhere and tried to follow dgraysons mod instructions, but nothing worked.
My desktop is a Compaq presario SR1917cl now running XP pro, w/a PNY Geforce210 video card. New drive is a 500gb and computer has 1.5gb of ram. Yes I know that is low, but it always ran SH4 pretty good.
So, is there an updated version of re-installing SH 4 and mod install instrutions available? I did a search, but didn't find what I needed. I've unistalled everything and have to start from scratch and as it takes a while to download all this stuff, I'd really like to get it right this time.

    Thanks, Rhett

Well I put TMO in a few days ago but could only play stock. I deactivated from JSGME and I went through the 3-4 hour process of overwriting the files to put TMO in. It was a massive pain in my neck but it worked. I don't know what is up with JSGME and the new TMO but I don't think they like each other very much

Sorry to say this but you need to make a backup of all files and go through the process of overwriting the game files. Its worth it in the end though.

    Hello Rhett,

Here is another site that has instructions on how to instal JSGME -

If you still have problems post back before you try overwriting the files.

Update....found an earlier version of JSGME on an old HD (v2.3.1.132) and re-installed it and everything loaded and ran fine after that. Must be something the latest version doesn't like with TMO 2.5
