I would LOVE for a level editor, especially for the XBox which I know would never come. Having a level editor and then making a level and have others try to beat it stealthy would be the BOMB!!!!
The way Splinter Cell was created and what it should aspire to be.

Stealth Always Wins
That sounds like a great I idea!!!
In Splinter Cell Chaos Theory came out only a level editor for Spy vs Merc mode. I would be dissapointed again if ubisoft give us only for this mode.
We also truly wants level editor for Deniable Ops and Coop mode to extend the life of this title.
C'mon Ubisoft... you can do it!
If you're looking something special from Splinter Cell videos, (last my project was called Tactical Espionage from Chaos Theory - advanced ghost style), visit my fansite channel at this address: http://www.youtube.com/user/jaruto7?feature=mhee
Our ideas should serve as an inspiration for Ubisoft Torronto with new and innovative features in the right direction for Blacklist: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...e-in-Blacklist
We need a purist mode similar to what Hitman: Absolution have, but with our rules: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...40#post8582940
http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...list-Checklist Please support the checklist and hopefully Ubisoft will see the massive amounts of people who want to see certain, key features implemented.
Ubisoft... please add in a true variable speed system with an integrated sound system and if you have the time...other abilities, gadgets, and things from the first SC games such as split jump, etc.
I would LOVE a single-player map editor. I started playing with Unreal several years ago and now use it in my job, so if they ever did release a SC editor I'd be all over it.
Once you get used to it, it honestly gets a lot easier. My brain starts to melt a bit when I have to deal with "complex" matinees ("complex" is certainly relative; I'm fine when making basic matinees to control animations/movers/lighting/materials/whatnot, but beyond that...no thank you lol), but building and lighting environments is really fun!
Hehe cool. I got to find a way to start though lol. The tool for Rainbow Six didn't seem much different from BIA so Rainbow Six editor should work. Maybe because I didn't pay much attention lol. Yeh, it takes time and practice to get used to it.
What's the word on the tool? Can you pass it on to the devs? If you get a chance, they would be great.

The more I play SCC, the more I think SCC and SCB are more optimized for panther and assault. Playing ghost is not really a fun factor unlike the old SC games. For that matter, I think SCB should at least be played panther or assault (not over use). We all hope SCB is more classic since it is still in production but you can't change the fact that the series is taking this way. Therefore, you play it the way it's meant to be played. Though, I am not ruling out ghosting in SCB, it's possible and can be fun but the game is more optimized for panther/assault.
Therefore:
SC1-4: Ghost player SCC and SCB: Panther/(Occasional)Assault
Overall: GHOST PLAYER
Glad to know I'm not alone on this![]()
I would LOVE a map editor for Chaos Theory or even the original game but...If they implemented a level editor into SCB (which would have made so much sense given that you already get to decide what missions to use with the SMI...you could literally make a mission yknow? sigh...) because the game is already looking like 5 times better than SCC and so much more of a balance between old gameplay with new -- that I'm sure hardcore SC ghost-fans would create AMAZING missions even within the confines of the gameplay of SCB -- just position the guards differently in the already made maps (provided Ubi for whatever reason makes it all geared toward action fans rather than both fans) nd then you can have the same game redone for ghosts. That's just an example. You'd also get classic maps remade -- CIA HQ would be awesome with the new graphics. Imagine going through Kalinatek and having the faster cover to cover and shooting mechanics (since that mission has no alarms in the classic version anyway), if I recall correctly.
The Bank mission anyone? Now imagine all the ORIGINAL maps people would create with some cool layouts. Ever since the first game I have wanted to be able to make my own SC levels...It's something that if SCB is done right gameplay wise and is a nice balance -- I'd love if SC7 kept the gameplay and then gave us a mission editor...sigh. I really wish more devs liked the idea of that aside from Valve, Bungie, and Bethesda -- and even then they release this crazy amazing editor that allows you to make/do virtually ANYTHING -- for PC only of course. I'd settle with a watered down version for consoles haha
Or at the very least....be able to download PC-made maps to the 360 even if we cant make them ourselves....NONE of that is available sigh...
I Vote Mission Editor all the Way... It would extend the life of SCB but everyone knows by the time the next SC is ready, everyone will be itching to buy it.
It's a Win/Win for everyone.
And 3dBuzz.com has all of the Unreal Editor tutorials still up, all you gotta do is sign up for an account. It's free.
