Thread: Rocksmith PC on Windows XP? | Forums

Question Rocksmith PC on Windows XP?

    Hi,

I am waiting for Rocksmith PC and wonder if Windows XP will be a supported platform? I did some serach but could not find an answer. Some retailers say Vista/Windows 7 others also say Windows XP...

BTW: Is there a word if other (I have a Line 6 UX1) interfaces are also supported? Maybe only as second device if the standard cable acts as copy protection ****le.

    Best Regards,
    Carsten

I am gonna say probably no Rocksmith on Windows XP. Which kind of sucks sorry man. The reason why think there will be no Rocksmith support for Win XP is due to the fact that Microsoft will not be supporting XP after 2014. I could be wrong but I cant see software being made for XP.
Hopefully I am wrong if that is all you have. Good Luck!!

    RockON!!!!!!!!!!!!

I work on Linux, I don't want to buy a W7k of course. Then maybe better a used xbox, not that much more expensive...

My understanding is about half the Windows folks are still running XP.

    / Running XP myself
// Will never install UBI software on any PC
/// See also, rootkit, DRM, mucked up machines.
//// Works on my PS3 tho
Swearing - for those times when Gosh Darnit and Meanie Head just don't do it.

Yea, I've been seeing too many Slashdot postings on Ubisoft's DRM and rootkit technology. I don't want to be opening up my PC to someone anonymous hacker, even though I block all incoming traffic to my internal network.

To be honest, it would be stupid of them to NOT support XP, since it's still the dominant OS in the world.
