    Dedicated Servers Please UBI

This game has great potential but the majority of the time all it does is lag, i was less than 4 meters away when i hip fired at someone with a bodark sniper rifle.
I had the KSVK with armer piercing rounds and i got a 50 XP assist why the hell did he not die, it should have ripped him a new one.

Thats just one instance out of thousands many have had, so what is your plan UBI what are you going to do about it ? Let a potentially good game die maybe...
And lets face it thats what is happening more and more lobbies are dead, and most of it is due to the the network/lag issues.

I am to the point now where this crap has gone on way to long and the lag by far exceeds any fun i could be having, rest assured if this is not fixed as said before i will NOT buy another UBISOFT game EVER.

Have i just finished playing the game **** right i have or why else would i be here asking about dedicated servers, with that said before the brown nosing judas start preaching about there beloved game. I would like to say in my entire history of gaming i have NEVER known myself or anyone else i know for that matter to have problems with dedicated servers, and if they have its usually port orientated which is fairly easy to resolve.

As for if its the so called coding...... if we have people on the outside (IE) gamers that no what it is you have done then i am sure UBI knows what they have done, so fix the **** code already its your biggest problem.
And for those who say i am not getting any problems, well good for you.... step off the forum and go back to playing your game, the reason i say it like that is because most have nothing but sarcasm to throw down or just point out the above few words (was it even worth posting) ?

Dedicated servers aren't the end all be all solution that people seem to think there are. They also have one major drawback, when the company decides to take down the servers, no more multiplayer.
The abbreviation for et cetera is "etc" not "ect."
"Loose" is the opposite of tight. "Lose" is the opposite of win and/or find.

Yes its a draw back but i would rather have a game that played well for a short period of time, than spending out the money i did on one thats absolutely shocking.... I mean come WTF are UBI or for that matter any other company thinking when they do this ****e, Crap Ops had it not as bad though and so did MW3 also not as bad.

And it is due to the lag Call Of Duty suffered with (in its most recent games) which as said was not as bad, as well as the stats, movie maker and rest of the crap that started clogging up a perfectly normal shooter.

All in the aid to please kindergarten that were not even old enough to play, who then somehow were wise enough to know how to get cheats on there XBOX 360 and PEE OFF yet more people than there squeaky voice had already done.

Dedicated servers are always better than peer-to-peer. However, at the same time, dedicated servers don't magically make lag go away as they can't fix bad netcode. The game isn't going to get dedicated servers as the cost of running dedicated servers vs peer-to-peer is probably at least 100x. I noticed A LOT that the first shot doesn't register, you'll see some blood splatter but you'll get no hit marker. That isn't that big of a deal for automatics but can really impact snipers obviously. I tried sniping in this game and it really is quite hard to snipe because the first shot rarely counts. I'd headshot a guy in cover, not moving at all, only about 20m away and the shot doesn't count and then I need 2 body shots to kill him (with the starter sniper rifles) so it basically takes 3 shots to kill with a sniper rifle, which is pretty bad. I don't know if this is due to bad netcode or the peer-to-peer system.

Your not going to get dedi servers or a hardcore mode(was it worth making this thread)

This is a one DLC and done game because of the player base

Why do you need kill streaks, this day and age, to sell a bizzilion copies is beyond me

GRFS is the best shooter since Socom2... in my opinion
Decent maps, good shooting mechanics, good modes, campers aren't unstoppable
Its a all around good game
Just put COD Future soldier as the name and millions would have bought it

Look at BO2 its futurerstic and I bet it out sales GRFS 10-fold with p2p servers

While the lag may be due to the company's inability to provide a good code, the Dedi servers would still be able to stop the Host Migration, that in itself would stop the **** pattern

    Host Migration
    Connection to Server Lost
    Can't Connect to Servers

It's simple to fix that, Dedi servers . This game will probably have about 1000 players playing it by November and those players will either be the ones who don't lag or the brown nosing Judah's the op mentioned all because of this.

It kills me to say it, but I'm looking forward to CoD:BO2 at this point... I know I will be getting Border Lands 2 and Assassin's Creed 3 so I will be pretty entertained to even bother touching this game again and all because the game has a horrble multiplayer connection...

When you shoot a player who's on a downed state and he doesn't die, that's a lager!!

They can rollback you know... and besides, Ubisoft wouldn't bother considering it would be too much money to support an already dying game.

This. And I don't think it would even be possible to just "switch" from P2P to dedicated servers. It's not like Ubisoft can just buy a few servers then press a button and everything's golden. The game was designed for peer to peer networking. They would have to rewrite their netcode entirely and probably reprogram and test almost everything else, then get re-certified from Microsoft and Sony again. So I'm almost certain this will never happen with this game.

For the most i just thought WTF are you chatting about, all you needed to say was the above quoted.... Which proved what i put in my original post.

I did not say anything about kill streaks, i was not even comparing the games. I merely mentioned why i stopped playing COD.

Dedicated Servers won't fix anything with the multiplayer's terrible netcode. But it might help because the game seems to choose the worst hosts.
