    More and More n00bs playing

This past week it seems like every game I play I get a guy who is brand new to the MP matches on my team. sometimes I find this out by looking at my squad-mates stats before the match starts, sometimes I notice a teammate playing really stupid and look at his stats afterwards to see what's going on. And this week in particular I've had a number of teammates who has less than 50 kills on the game so far.

Another thing I noticed is that the majority of them (especially the ones who seem completely lost to the concept of the game) use a sniper rifle.

None of them ever talk on the microphone during a game, so I can't give them in-game tips during gameplay, but a lot of times I send them a message after the game urging them to use the Rifleman or Engineer class while learning the game.

Anyone else notice this? I'm not mad that n00bs are playing the game, if they stick around it will be more players and more options for MP matches, but what might be the best way to introduce them to the big learning-curve that GRFS?

I have also been running into a lot of people with stats that show they are relatively new. It doesnt bother me much, but when I'm in the zone and I want to get stuff done it kinda hinders the team I guess. I agree about the sniper thing lol. When I first started I instantly tried out the sniper, only to be discouraged because I sucked. I moved on quite fast, and once I got used to everything then I went back to the sniper and fell in love.

I've had a different experience than you. I find that most of the new people I have ran into are actually talking more then people I have ran into that have playing for a while. Either way though, the easiest way to let them get used to the game is let them do it at there own pace, and how they want to. Forcing them to try an idea that isnt theres will most likely result in them being worse just because its something foreign. Just let them progress and get used to it and then once they get used to the gameplay mechanics then thats when you should start giving them advanced tips and whatnot.

Hmmmm maybe this is why I've been seeing such poor scores on my team lately... While I agree that k/d doesn't make a good player in this game. It's a little more than ridiculous when I see people scoring 0-14 and 1-17 (both real stats from tonight).
The abbreviation for et cetera is "etc" not "ect."
"Loose" is the opposite of tight. "Lose" is the opposite of win and/or find.

bring on more noobs, i say! This just means more people are buying the game, which will increase the online community, and keep this "dying game" as others have said, from doing so. We were all noobs at one point, and just as clueless as them. It takes time to get god at anything.

Very true. Any game needs new players to keep it alive. You can't assume everyone bought the game at launch and has put in 40 hours a week like some of us. Though it is kind of annoying in Stockade when I use the UAV and watch a highlighted enemy destroy half my team, it's all part of the learning process.

It's most likely the experienced players have just moved on to other games because of the mutliplayer's terrible netcode. And the novice players remain because they don't notice the netcode problems to the same degree.

Lol, noobs will come, they will snipe then they will see that this game does not let noob snipers snipe and then they will get disconnected and lose the tiny bit of XP they gained and then they will go to gamestop and trade this game in for one that is not broke.
Player count will continue to drop by the 100's every week.

Well, I started playing a couple of days ago so you might have seen me mess up lol. Seriously though, I agree that there are a lot of noobs. A lot of people don't play as a team, don't go after targets etc etc. I just add some good players to friendslist and team up with them. Playing with randoms is generally quite annoying.
Now playing; [PS3] Assassin's Creed III

    "Bring on the noobs"? REALLY?

I just played a game where I WAS THE ONLY PERSON ON MY TEAM WHO HAD KILLS!

How can you welcome teammates who go 0-13?????

If it's not incompetent teammates, it's people who are absolute jerks that just ruin the game for me.

thats exactly what you should do. Get some good people who are willing to take you under their wing, trust me, this is a GREAT game once you learn the ropes.
