    question with weather system

so from what i just seen is the game will have a weather system is this true
    also
what sort of weather can we expect
will the weather have any real impact on gameplay
example thunder storms reduces the chance of your movement sound being detected and such

You can expect sunny days rainy days and sunsets / rises and the night

you can also expect to see some pretty extreme weather too.... The most extreme we have seen is a tornado and it looks like a dream / hallucination sequence...

Take note that there are volcanoes on the island and I am sure I do not just speak for myself that the island is like a character in the game so It will show different sides to itself but this remains unconfirmed but I think it is a safe bet.

I tyhink a long stretch of rain could have quite a psychological effect on how you play the game and look forward to this dynamic being put to good use

You know where you are? ... Your in the jungle baby...... Your gonna die.....

    A good First-person Shooter should:

    - have precise, manual controls - e.g. no auto-aim
    - put balance, challenge and fun above realism
    - be full of fast-paced real-time action
    - let cunning, intelligence and skill decide who wins (PvP)
    - have simple mechanics: easy to learn but difficult to master

Does any one know about the night? I would love to see a great hi res night sky with millions of stars some shooting most just flickering and a bright detailed moon (with mulitple stages waxing crescent ect..). I want to be able to get lost in the game's night sky due to it looking so realistic.

I can tell you now that custom textures wont happen on consoles but PC Modders may be able to make this happen.... But the way the editor works is that it draws everything from the directory.

It is possible to PAK custom textures into map files I used to do it before on PC but this will not be possible on consoles that is why I think they should try to include as much with the editor as possible even FC2 textures to give more variety. I don't think this would hurt their wallet as the dunia engine will still recognise these textures even if they are a lower resolution. But this would help and a standard texture pack for really obvious textures that are extremely common like carpet.

People have also asked for ice and snow textures especially for christmas maps!!!

    The more textures the better
