    Tmo

Yes so I'm new to the whole trigger maru thing. Uhh, I was just wondering what it adds to the game and if I can keep my current mods that i have on it.

I have 600 slightly subnuclear Mk 14 and Cutie, Tallabous_coral sea_skinpack, USA_Iowa and the merchant skinpack release.

It adds a whole level of realism...In the behavior of the enemy's capabilities, as well as graphics.
Check up on the compatibility of those mods with TMO. There are some that'll just lead to freeze-ups, or detract from its operation.
There are mods out there made specifically to be run with TMO.

    Good luck..!!

I've downloaded it. The first thing I've noticed is that the graphics are amazing! I haven't run into the enemy yet but it'll sure be interesting when I do.

Andy, just keep in mind that TMO is not a realism mod, although it sometimes does make the game more realistic. TMO is a game challenge mod, making Silent Hunter 4 harder to play. Destroyers can and will accurately depth charge you without pinging. Airplanes will bomb you while you are at or below periscope level. TMO is darned hard and will eat a newbie up. It won't even say "thank you!"

However, if you are immune from frustration you'll eventually find what we all love about TMO. You are finally in genuine danger of losing the game. The real guys had a result that said they weren't all that much in danger, but you KNOW that every one of them wondered if they'd ever see home again. You didn't see them surfacing in the middle of a convoy of escorts and gunning it out on the surface voluntarily. In SH4 that is a pretty easy thing to do.

In TMO surfacing in the middle of a convoy of merchants will get you killed quickly. It supplies what SH4 is missing in stock form: FEAR! That is what makes TMO great.
