    3rd person view

FOR **** sakes Ubisoft, Why the **** are you changing all these awesome games to 3d person view. If you do it for this one, this will defiantly kill what you made that was once Ravenshield/ Blackarrow/ R6/3.

Dig your own grave. **** while you are at it, put a bullet in your heads too. Thanks, I see GR:FS is a ****ing flop, dont do the same mistake. ****KKKKKKKK>

Yes I bought the ****ty game GRFS, to support your welfare *** but this will be the last time.

Rant off/. *A Fan for way to long*

So what exactly is the point of this thread other than making a useless rant?

I guess he wants the game to be in first person. All feedback is sent to the developers however written.

well I would like them to keep the 3rd Person Cover, it adds to the character, of course the character also needs to talk and not be a silent character-less guy, he needs to talk, interact, and have an opinion.

Also for 3rd Person Cover, get rid of the god-view, instead make the leaning a must to see around the corners, R6P actually seems to do so, so I believe all is good.

Just my opinion and feed back

I honestly can't understand how people can enjoy first-person games. I enjoy how third-person gives me a greater awareness of my surroundings.

For me, 1st person feels more like being in the character's role rather than controller the character, it helps me feel more involved and invested.

As for the situational awareness thing, 1st person is better than 3rd person in some ways, 3rd person is better in others. I think 1st person better represents the limitations the actual character would have, it feels more real, however in a lot of situations for me it's easier to judge jumps, drops, climbs and aiming from 1st person. I suppose it depends to some extent on what you're used to and what you've played more and I won't begrudge people their 3rd person views, however I still massively prefer a 1st person game.

that's if you see the legs, right ?!

Cause I was playing Deus Ex Human Revolution, and judging jumps was based on trial and error rather than seeing the ledge , yet maybe I am not that good at FPS.

TBH I don't like FPS that much, I play some FPS, those that feel great like Resistance series for example, and I am really waiting for Dishonored, but most of the time there is a huge FOLLOW sigh, the character doesn't talk, he is more like a thin paper, and I don't feel attached to the character at all, whenever I play a game I assume I am that character, I don't assume myself to be in the game, hence when the character stop talking and be more like "just there" it breaks immersion for me, a good example that comes to mind is Medal of Honor-2010 I ended up caring more about the other characters rather than my own, I also felt the ending had potential, but was wasted due to the whole Silent Character thing, just an opinion though.

Even when you can't. One of my all time favourites is "Thief" from Eidos. All you ever see of Garrett is his right arm and whatever weapon it's holding. There aren't even any mirrors in the first Thief game so you don't even get to see his reflection. On the other hand, the cutscenes between missions filled out his character excellently, along with quite a bit of backstory and really got me involved.

Thief is one of the series I really want to try out, I am waiting for Thi4f to be honest, cause by then they may announce a HD Collection, and I can just jump on the whole series in one go.

Thief Gold and Thief II are a bid fiddly to get working on Win7, but well worth it if you can manage it. Thief III was a bit of a let down as it changed the play style a bit but still a good game. I'm looking forward to IV as well, though with a little trepidation that they may even further depart from the early game style and just go for flashy effects. However this is a little off topic for the R6 forum....
