Introduction

"The Prince of Persia makes his way home to Babylon, bearing with him Kaileena, the enigmatic Empress of Time, and unspeakable scars from the Island of Time. But instead of the peace he longs for, he finds his kingdom ravaged by war and Kaileena the target of a brutal plot. When she is kidnapped, the Prince tracks her to the Palace - only to see her murdered by a powerful enemy. Her death unleashes the Sands of Time, which strike the Prince and threaten to destroy everything he holds dear. Cast to the streets, hunted as a fugitive, the Prince soon discovers that the Sands have tainted him, too. They have given rise to a deadly Dark Prince, whose spirit gradually possesses him..." Roadmap

Weapon Cheats: They do not disable trophies. Note that you will need a secondary weapon before you can use these cheats. To use the cheats press :start: during gameplay and follow directions below for each weapon.

• Baby Toy Hammer: :left: :left: :right: :right: :square: :triangle: :triangle: :square:
• Chainsaw:     :left: :right: :left: :right: :square: :triangle: :square: :triangle:

• Telephone of Sorrow: :right: :left: :right: :left:     :square: :triangle: :square: :square: :triangle: :triangle:

For a complete game walkthrough see F3YR3's youtube channel.

QTE (Quick Time Event)- whenever the screen is flashing/blinking you must press :triangle: to initiate it and then press :square: each time your dagger highlights until the event is complete.

Step 1: Complete game on Hard
Once the game starts choose the Hard difficulty and complete the game. You will unlock majority of the trophies including all story related as well as some miscellaneous ones. Be sure to get all the life upgrades (6) (unlocks Healthy trophy) because you will definitely need them on this difficulty. Do your best to perform as many speed kills as possible to unlock the Silent Prince trophy. Also note that the speed kills will make it easier to complete this playthough.

Note: be sure to keep a hold of your last game save on this playthrough. Do not delete or overwrite it. You will need this to later to farm sand credits. The save file will be called "The Mental Realm".

Step 2: Complete game on Normal
Once the game starts choose the Normal difficulty and complete the game. Focus on unlocking the Sand Snake trophy if you can here but if you don't no worries you will have another playthrough to try. If you are missing the Silent Prince and Dual Wielder trophies focus on them as well.

Step 3: Complete game on Easy
Same as above except choose the Easy difficulty. Be sure to focus on the following trophies if you have not yet obtained them due to glitches:
• Sealed Portals
• Sand Might
• Sand Snake

Step 4: Sand Credits Farming
This is where you will be using the save file from step 1.

Trophy Guide

Two Thrones (P)
Obtain all other trophies

Collect all other trophies for platinum to unlock.

Mortal (B)
Complete the game on Easy

Simply beat the game on the Easy difficulty for trophy to unlock. See Shadow Warrior for tips.

Note: difficulty trophies do NOT stack which is why you must beat the game 3 times.

Assassin (S)
Complete the game on Normal

Simply beat the game on the Normal difficulty for trophy to unlock. See Shadow Warrior for tips.

Note: difficulty trophies do NOT stack which is why you must beat the game 3 times.

Shadow Warrior (G)
Complete the game on Hard

See the spoiler tag for enemy image and tips on how to defeat them.
General Note- when you are surrounded by a group of enemies regardless of difficulty I have found that the easiest to fight them (if brute force is used) is to perform a walk run then press :triangle: (while having 2 weapons).

Guard- these are the simplest enemies use any attacks that you wish.

Sand Portal Guard- these are only found near the sand portals. Do your best to kill them first before any other. When you are near the sand portals you will always have a choice to silent kill all the enemies there. Either perform silent kills or follow the general note. Note that the weapons they drop will refill a sand tank every few seconds but they have low durability.

Illusions- these enemies will have dual dagger weapons that they will throw at you from a distance. The are not very strong and usually a quick combo kills them.

Archer- these are annoying because they shoot you from a distance if they become aware of your presence. I highly recommend taking them out with a speed kill (silent kill).

Reptus- they are green and will mostly be found when you are the Dark Prince. They are also easy to defeat. Simply press :triangle: repeatedly to use his chain.

Enchantress- they have dual weapons and have pretty good combo attacks. Slowing down the time to perform a comb is best.

Golem- Simply attack his feet while avoiding his attacks. When you lower his health to a point he will kneel down and you will have to mount him. After you get control of him you will need to maneuver trough the canal. He runs non-stop so you need to turn either left or right before the turn.

Chameleon- you will first encounter them in the gardens. They are invisible but easy to defeat. Simply attack in any direction until you get a hit marker. They usually found in groups. The weapons they drop seem to be unbreakable so be sure to pick one up.

Thrall- similar to the Guard except tougher and often block your attacks.

Mahasti (2nd boss)- There are 2 parts to this fight. Also note that there are 4 platforms.

First, as the prince you need to decrease her health by simply performing a combo and rolling sideways to avoid her attacks. After you lower her health a bit you will have your swords clash with hers and you must press :square: repeatedly and fast. When her health is lowered to 3/4 a cutscene will occur and you will turn to the Dark Prince.

Second, as the Dark Prince you will have to cross the platforms to reach her. There are 4 platforms and are placed like on the edges of a square. You will cross platforms in a clockwise manner. Jump over to the next platform and an Illusion enemy will spawn there. Kill him so that you regain health and sand tank refills. From there jump over to the next platform where she will be. As soon as you climb up to her level tap :l1: to slow down the time (Eye of the Storm) and perform as many combos as possible. Following that she will jump over on the opposite platform and you must repeat the above step. When her health is almost gone and you attack her your swords will clash again. Press :square: repeatedly and fast to win.

Hunter Hound- these creatures feed on your sand tanks and will drain them over time. If you can avoid them do so even though they are not hard to defeat.
Note: difficulty trophies do NOT stack which is why you must beat the game 3 times.

Silent Prince (S)
Kill 50 enemies with a Speed Kill

The speed kills are the kills that utilize the QTE to perform silent kills in a way. I highly recommend getting used to these type of kills on Hard difficulty because enemies are much harder. To perform a speed kill the enemy must be unaware of your presence. When you get close enough to an enemy, from above or behind, the screen will flash and you must press :triangle: to start the QTE. Then press :square: each time the dagger highlights. You must perform several successful dagger hits to kill the enemy. Note that the more difficult the enemy is the more successful QTE dagger hits you will need.

To perform speed kills as the Dark Prince simply press :triangle: to initiate it and then keep pressing it until you kill the enemy.

Horse Racing (G)
Complete the horse cart sequences

Story related and cannot be missed. Early in the game before any boss fight you will have to steer a horse cart. Once you complete this sequence the trophy will unlock.

Time Adept (G)
Obtain all 6 Sand Tanks

Although this trophy is not story related it is almost impossible to miss it. You will have a total of 9 sand portals that will be in your patch as you progress (cannot miss them) and you must close them to unlock more sand tanks and powers. You will start with 3 sand tanks and must simply earn 3 more for trophy to unlock. If done correctly you should unlock this on your 7th Sand Portal.

Sealed Portals (G)
Seal all the Sand Portals

Glitched: on Hard (possibly Normal) difficulty even if you seal them all the trophy might not unlock. After you have already have 6 sand tanks the game may glitch and give you +1 sand tank even though you do not need it. This will most likely occur on the 8th Sand Portal.

Solution: Simply try again on your Normal and Easy playthroughs.

There are total of 9 Sand Portals that you must seal for trophy to unlock. Each portal will have enemies that you must first defeat before you can seal the portal. There will be 2 types of enemies: Guard and Sand Guard. Kill the Sand Guard (red shoulders) first because he spawns more enemies from the portal. Each portal will allow you to kill them silently one by one or by simple brute force, the choice is yours. See list below for location and the reward it should give:

Sand Portal Number / Reward / Location:
1. +1 sand tank (The Fortress)
2. +100 sand credits (Lower City)
3. The Eye of the Storm power (The Balconies)
4. +1 sand tank (The Temple Rooftops)
5. +150 sand credits (The Market District)
6. The Winds of Sand power (The Upper City)
7. +1 sand tank (The City Gardens)- Time Adept trophy
8. +200 sand credits (The Promenade)
9. The Sand Storm power (The Hanging Garden) Sand Might trophy

Healthy (G)
Get all life upgrades

There are a total of 6 life upgrades in the story. The hidden fountains will be on your path as you progress through the story but their entrances will be obscured, hence the hidden. When you reach the fountain you must drink from it, which will trigger a challenge. The challenge could be moving blades, arrows and traps. After completing the challenge your health bar in slightly increase. See video below for locations.

1. When you become the Dark Prince and transform back to your old self it will be on the left side just before the two double blades that are coming out of the walls there will be an entrance closed by curtains. There will also be a save point right after the blades and if you save there the file will say "The Tunnels".
2. Shortly after passing the Rooftops you will jump on a chain and climb down. A little further you will need to open a gate by using the mechanism in the wall. Note that this mechanism actually opens 2 gates. The gate behind you will lead you to the life upgrade. It is right before the Giant boss.
3. There will be a point that you will have to drain the water using a switch in a cylindrical room in order to climb up. During this part when you are about midway up there will be a hole in the wall that will be covered by a flag. Simply jump through it.
4. It is to the right of the save point right after the part where you control the Golem to run through some gates.
5. During the elevator part you will see 3 points where you can stab your sword. There will be 2 Enchantress enemies here (female with dual swords), get to the top (3rd) stab point, jump to the opposite wall then back to activate the switch above the stab point. Then after you activate the switch let yourself fall down to either the 1st or 2nd stab point and jump over and you will see a open door on your left.
6. It is during the tower climbing from its outer walls. You will get outside the tower to climb up and enter back in (save point here). After you get back out you will again have to re-enter the tower. It is below the platform from which you would jump on the last platform to re-enter the tower.

Sand Might (G)
Obtain all Sand Powers

Glitched- see Sealed Portals. This trophy will unlock at the same time as Sealed Portals.

Dual Wielder (S)
Kill 100 enemies using a secondary weapon

Whenever you kill enemies they will drop their weapons on the ground. Simply pick it up and kill enemies by :triangle: in your combos. Note that it is much easier to farm these kills later in the game when you receive a special sword that you cannot throw away or break. This sword will kill enemies with a single hit.

Mountain Climber (S) (H)
Kill the Giant

Story related and cannot be missed. There are 2 parts to this fight:

First, you must blind him by taking out his eyes so that he doesn't see you when you attack him. To do so the arena will have 2 areas on the sides where you must perform a few acrobatic moves to reach the top and jump towards the Giant and complete the QTE. Each (2) successful QTE will take out one eye.

Second, after you complete the above you will be able to attack him and drain his health. Simply attack his feet from behind while avoiding his sword and kick attacks. After you almost completely drain his health you bring him to his knees and will have to perform another QTE to finish him off.

Video thanks to rolibolika

Double Trouble (S) (H)
Kill the two Bosses

Story related and cannot be missed. Both bosses will have different weapons, which will determine the order of your attack. First, you must perform a combo on the boss with the sword and while you are on your last strike of the combo the other boss with the axe will try to attack you from behind. When you see the axe boss attack you roll sideways to dodge it. If successful the boss with the axe will have his weapon stuck on the ground. This is when you must attack the boss with the axe and drain his health. Repeat this step until the boss with the axe highlights at which point you must perform a QTE with your dagger. During the QTE press :square: whenever your dagger highlights. Repeat the whole process until defeating them.

Note that the harder the difficulty the more times you will need to perform the above process until defeating them.

Revenge (S) (H)
Kill the Vizier

Story related and cannot be missed. There are 3 parts to this fight:

First, you must simply attack him while avoiding his attacks. He has 4 types of attacks in this part: 1) he will try to dual slash you with his wings, 2) he will slash you with either his left or right wing, 3) he will throw rocks at you and 4) he will shoot a ball of energy. The best method is get really close to him and wait for him to attack, and when he does simply dodge it by rolling sideways (move :ls: left or right and press :cross: to roll). As soon as you roll stops perform a combo using only the heavy attack, :triangle:x3. He will attack your right after your combo so be sure to roll sideways immediately after your combo ends. I have found it easier if your roll in only 1 direction to decrease confusion, choose either left or right. When you drain his health a bit he will fly up and shoot rocks at you. To avoid the rocks you must time your dodge roll. The rock will first come down to his body and then be thrown at you. Roll sideways (only) after the rocks is at his body. Repeat above process until you get to the next part. I highly recommend not any sand credits during this part.

Second, he will get close to beams and you must perform 3 successful QTE's. During this part you will have rocks on the platform that will move in a circular motion. Avoid the rocks and get close to beam to perform the QTE. To do so run up on the wall, jump and press :square: when the screen flashes. This will trigger the QTE, press :square: only and only if the dagger highlights. Pressing the :square: sooner or latter will cause you to fail the QTE. Perform 3 of these and proceed to the next part. Be sure to save some sand tanks for the next part.

Third, this part is mostly acrobatics. You must proceed from one platform to another until you reach the very top. During this part you will have to perform jumps, wall runs (sideways and up) and flips. Once you reach the top platform jump towards the Vizier and press :square: when the dagger highlights and you are done with this fight.

Berserker (S) (H)
Destroy 200 objects

This might be the first trophy you unlock if you break every object you see in your path. Objects such as vases, chairs, tables, pillows and treasure chests. Simply break objects until trophy unlocks. Note that some of them give you sand credits as well which are a must have when you become the Dark Prince.

Dark Warrior (S)
Kill 100 enemies as the Dark Prince

Although it is not story related it is almost impossible to miss this one. You will most likely unlock this trophy on your first playthrough. When you become the Dark Prince you will constantly loose health until you die. The only way to prevent this is by obtaining sand credits, which can be gotten in two ways. First, by destroying objects such as vases, chairs, tables and treasure chests. Second, by killing enemies who will drop sand credits.

Sand Collector (G)
Collect 10 000 Sand Credits

If everything goes according to plan this will be the last trophy before the platinum. Even after your third playthrough you will not have enough credits for this trophy; therefore, you must farm it. I personally got 7572 sand credits at the end of my third playthrough. You will be using your last game save file (The Mental Realm) from your first playthrough on Hard. Reload this save and complete it, this will net you 700 credit per completion if your game save was on Hard. Rinse and repeat until trophy unlocks.

If you accidentally saved over your hard difficulty game save, no worries. See rewards below:
• Hard difficulty save = 700 sand credits
• Normal difficulty save = 500 sand credits
• Easy difficulty save = 300 credits

Sand Snake (G)
Complete the game in any difficulty without dying

Glitched: sometimes when you complete the game without dying it will still not unlock.

Solution: best to try this on Easy and Normal difficulty playthroughs.

If you try this on Easy or Normal difficulty there is no real challenge in terms of enemy or boss fights. The only parts that are troubling would be the Golem maneuvering through the canal and the Well sequence (lots of blades).

Golem part- there are 2 ways of passing this part without having to retry.
• only use your sand tanks to rewind time if you hit a wall and die. (recommended)
• use it to slow down time because it will make it easier to maneuver during the sharp turns, however if you use it for that and die you will have less sand tanks to rewind time.

Well part- for this part I highly recommend watching this video by person mentioned in the roadmap because you will know what is ahead.

If you die and you are in the Game Over screen do not select "Retry" or "Quit" as this will lock the trophy and make it unobtainable in this playthrough. To prevent this from happening when you die and you are on that screen quit using the XMB (press s: > Quit Game > Yes) and reload your last save.

Also if you die during the life upgrade challenge and the game reloads you back I am unsure if this counts therefore be sure to be extra careful and use your sand tanks to rewind or slow down time if necessary.

Dying during the last portion of the game (The Mental Realm) does NOT count.

I am unclear on the concept of "trophies."
Is there a certain software edition that supports trophies (i.e. you have to pay to download (from where) a certain edition of the software that has "trophy logic" built into the software?
For which gaming platforms are trophies available?

Not to be rude but there are only 2 known awards for achieving something as far as I know. 1 is for the xbox called achievements and 1 for the playstation 3 called trophies. I thought this was common knowledge to every gamer. I am surprised that you asked this in the first place. Since you didn't know that I would venture a guess and say that you play on PC or Wii.

There is no patch but rather POP HD Trilogy was released.

Anyone who has followed my contributions to the POP Forums should know:
- I play only on a PC with a keyboard and mouse
- my home PC is a WIndows 2000 now Windows XP 800 MHz computer that I built in 2000 with 512 MB of memory
- I have not yet upgraded my hardware for the later Ubisoft games (why buy hardware for just two games?)
- I have worked in the compujter industryfor over 36 years as an operator, programmer, manager, consultant, installer, Oracle DBA, Web, agile, VMs etc.
- I have helped the forum where I can; but I work for a living and volunteer for numerous non-profit organizations

P.S. I recently attended California Extreme which is a video arcade and pinball weekend that was in Santa Clara, CA, USA (near San Jose)
where I enjoyed playing many video games from the 70s and 80s that I had not played in over 30 years
(Spy Hunter, Rastan, Space Herrier, Dragon's Lair, Jungle King, Elevator Action, Goonies)
and pinball machines I had not ever seen before ... particularly two machines built only for the 1979 Hollywood Movie "Tilt!" with Brooke Shields
and the newly released Stern Pinball X-Men pinball machine.

So the advice that I give is based upon a "much different gaming experience" than from most modern game players.

Now you know m8, I have not followed any PoP. As you can see I only have like 40 or so posts so I have no idea who is who in terms of the forum. But I am glad you pointed it out so that hopefully I remember in the future.
