Thread: class action lawsuit | Forums

I think you used it right good sir. Off of my brain I'd say using it in that context states you think the idea of being quick to advocate the legal system is like waste, in the sense of the word a pun unto itself. I am available for children's parties by the way.

If you look at Diablo 3 there have been numerous countries with law suites against it; including: France, Germany, and South Korea, but none in the U.S.A. or UK however. In S. Korea the issue was with internet cafes having to pay royalties, in Germany it's about the product not mentioning that it requires an internet connection, in France it was about the unstable servers. There is nothing that can be done about bugs and I know it sucks but the game is still playable. There is nothing stopping you from playing a full skirmish, campaign, or hot seat game except for your hardware limitations.

A lot of the fixes that are simple:

Internet Connection to conflux-- Port forward your NAT
Change your rules in your firewall
Game Crashes/Black Screen--- Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date
    Have a supported graphics card
Make sure the game is using the supported graphics card.
Have a PC that can handle the games system requirements

As you can see from this report, there is indeed a possibility of getting your money back if a product you have purchased is broken. This goes for games as well, just as it does for a dishwasher.

There is, however, little chance of getting anything else out of it. It's a faulty product, and as such what you are entitled to is your money back, nothing more.

I would also claim that (according to Norwegian law, at least), the time passed has more or less nullified this; if you bought the game in October and waited until now to complain, your claim would be voided.

Yes, it is usually 30 days from purchase, or if they change the user agreement and you don't click accept. If I'm not mistaken that can be used as reason for a refund.

Yup, though it can be longer. The Norwegian Law of Consumer purchase says "within a reasonable amount of time" of discovering a flaw, usually interpreted as 3 months. Meaning that you have to complain as soon as you discover a flaw. If you wait half a year after you find the flaw in a product, the law interprets that as accepting that the flaw is insignificant.

just logged in to play a duel against the computer and after ensuring not to pick might so as to avoid the cleave bug i mentioned earlier, discovered that mass life drain does absolutely nothing, a game breaker for any inferno blood character. another bug which did not exist in beta or at launch. logged out near the end of the duel to discover that i had received 10 uplay points for obtaining the sword of the griffin. i did not obtain the sword of the griffin, all i did was play half a duel. logged back in to the game to discover that i have received many achievements which i have not actually completed, but did not receive the rewards for these achievements. i am now incapable of doing so, and am extremely hesitant to even launch the game, not knowing what further corruption lay in store for my account. this product is unquestioningly too unstable, and is being repaired way too slowly, for public release. i bought the pirates of the savage sea expansion hoping it would help stabilize the program, but this game actually feels more buggy now than it did in beta.

these are new bugs. i am reporting them, as people have been doing for about a year now. i will consider requesting a refund, but ubisoft will reply that they are appreciative of our support, and that they will eventually provide me with the product i paid for almost a year ago. 1.5.2 shows this to be a lie. this is extremely bad business, horrible customer relations, and absolutely unacceptable from one of the largest video game publishers on the planet.

edit: just logged in to try the exact same duel again, and mass life drain worked as intended. will take screenshots of battle logs from now on.
