    Exclamation class action lawsuit

im not kidding. if 1.5.2 is any sign of what we have to expect, ubisoft had better be prepared to fork over a lot of dough. this game is so broken its insane the legal team let it out the door. not one mode of gameplay is actually functional as it advertised, even in offline mode. i couldnt make it though a simple duel against the ai without running into multiple game breaking bugs, cleave activating every time a stack fell for example. i dont even remember this bug from beta or release, almost a year ago. should have just thrown more money at blackhole. the game is unplayable, and not being repaired timely. this is not ok, and it is very serious.

This is the funniest thing I've heard in a while. This game is not broken for everyone. I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one who doesn't have any major issues with the game crashing, ect. I've never ran into your cleave bug and as far as I know it mite be there, or it mite not. I'm pretty sure you mite be just seeing a moral thing happening but who knows. You'll have to precise if this bug is triggering for the unit that killed the first stack everytime or is it happening to a different unit that doesn't have the cleave buff on? It's not that serious actually. A famine is serious, disease is serious, poverty is serious, this is just a game that went overbudget on its graphics, and drm and now everyone has to suffer. We'll live and the game will get better, as for disease, poverty, and famine who knows? That is serious and not flaws in code that need fixed.

    I agree, quite humorous!

I had been playing this game for over 150 hours and loving it!...until my computer crashed (ended up being a bad power supply). I was going through withdrawals. Seriously, hilarious. Pathetic? Perhaps, but hilarious.

This game works great for me. Oh, and I lolz at futatn's disclaimer sig. BTW, I never found it a valid argument to accuse someone of being paid by Ubi, so I generally immediately discount their expressed opinion because they are clearly so emotionally tied to it that they have no objectivity.

Seems legit. It's like cops who have to answer yes if they're asked whether they're cops. I mean, why would anyone put up a pre-emptive disclaimer - followed by a dire threat ("I will insult you!") - unless he's speaking the truth and is just cautious about not being confused with someone else?

Actually, as a person that is smarter than billions, I can think of a few reasons...

Having addressed the weird disclaimer, let's talk about the rest of the quote.

Ah, ridicule. From the person that "does not endorse flaming". Good way to open a post.

Irrelevant. Class action lawsuits don't require something to be defective or dangerous for everyone. Just a lot of people. And that is undoubtedly the case here.

Then you simply won't get in on the (class) action.

But for those who are allegedly blessed with a dearth of bugs in Heroes VI, there is at least one bug threat on these very message boards to get a good picture. And patch release dates will speak of Ubisoft's negligence in a very clear language.

Ah, the old "there are worse things happening, so this is, by definition, not a problem". One of the biggest logical fallacies in the arsenal of the troll. Nobody would really claim that this is worse than poor African babies starving or anything, but that isn't really relevant. This is not the web presence of the WHO, AI, Unicef, or any other charitable organisation. Ubisoft is not a non-profit organisation that feeds the hungry. They are being paid to release software. For every copy they sell, they enter a legal contract. That means they implicitly agree to gain some obligations. When they fail to fulfil those, they can be made liable for it regardless of any natural disasters.

Yeah, no way are you a company-paid troll. "The game you sold us for money is broken, we should consider legal actions." "OH LOOK, A STARVING DISTRACTION!"

I'd definitely consider it. By this time, it's clear they don't think they need to bend over backwards, as they already have our money. Anyone with a legal background who could tell us whether we have a case?

Here I'll help you guys out as you probably need some.

I'm not totally sure, but you need to find your consumer protection agencies number and make a complaint. After over thousands and thousands of complaints something mite happen. Good luck with international law.

oh and btw we are not all citizens of what ever country spawned you, so please don't assume your federal law applies to me. Use your common sense to research what you buy and know your rights as a consumer. Before you go out and buy some new software, save yourself some time and talk to there support, and see about refunds before you buy. Most of the time they will offer you 30 days to get your money back if you are not satisfied. Most likely any complaint you make will have you go through a division of the agency, and more than likely your complaints are about fraudulent advertising, so please clue me in on where you were scammed into believing that this game was bug free. BTW, Good Luck and Lighten up as this isn't serious.

I like you, futatn. Guessing all this sue-happy rubbish is from the U.S.

    Actually, I am from the U.S. =D

Did I use the word rubbish correctly and in a natural way?

    french courts.
the game is unplayable, almost a year after release, and i'm not referring to driver issues. i'm relatively certain most people can start the game, but not one mode of gameplay is actually functional, as there are still just too many oversights in development, creating too many game breaking bugs.
we have payed to beta test a billion dollar company's software for almost a year now, and it is obviously not helping.
this product should be cancelled, recalled and refunded, and repaired correctly. it is serious. quality control standards have been dwindling over the past couple decades but this tips the hat, a trend which cannot be allowed to continue.
