I just had a read through the forum rules. If you're wondering why I'm still hanging around despite vowing never to use anything Ubisoft ever again, I suppose I'm somewhat mesmerised by it all. Like a brilliantly explosive train crash in slow motion.

Anyway. Some of the notes in the Forum Rules amused me and I'd just like to put some questions out there. From the first paragraph of their Forum Rules sticky:

...plus we can more easily collect feedback (be it positive or negative) to pass on to Ubisoft game developers.
Yeah. Okay. That's working GREAT by the way. We then have to scroll down a bit to the blurb on the staff:

Forum Managers are individuals contracted by Ubisoft to assist with the running of these forums. They hold similar powers to Ubisoft Community Managers...Forum Managers are also constantly involved in reporting back community comments, suggestions, issues and concerns on all our titles.
I remember someone saying that nobody on the forum actually worked for Ubisoft - your own rules say different! It is also nice to know that Ubisoft do have people watching their forums.

Community Managers are full time Ubisoft employees, part of their responsibilities including monitoring the forums and assisting/updating the mods and Forum Managers where possible.
So Community Managers are actually WITHIN Ubisoft, and keep an eye on the forums! Good to know.

Community Developers are also Ubisoft employees who work in our development studios and form a bridge between the developers and gamers. They exist to inform you on updates and happenings with their respective games, as well as to take your feedback to the developers to help improve current and future titles where possible.
So not only do they have people reporting to Ubisoft marketing, they have people reporting to Ubisoft developers as well! Wow, Ubisoft really care about customer feedback to have so many people watching their forums. Good job guys, good job.

Wait a second.

So my question is, if we have so many people outraged by Uplay, frustrated by their support, vowing never to buy Ubisoft again etc etc, why is it none of these issues are being addressed?? I realise Uplay probably receives regular updates that ATTEMPT to fix some of these issues, but regardless of the state of the client, if the server is down it's not going to help.

I'm curious where the link here has snapped. I can only assume the staff mentioned above are doing their duties and reporting that 99% of topics in this section of the forum are about how awful Uplay is and it's preventing games from being played, so who in Ubisoft is going "Screw customer satisfaction, we're still making money"?
