Multi player free for all with skin support

I know that the game is meant to be promoting teamplay but just had this idea and I think It would be quite good.

Basically If we could have skins for Jack Carver / Jason Brody/ Citra/ The Jackal / Four Player Co-op characters / Vaas / Dr.Earheart and the standard skins of enemies in FC3 then you are practically on your way to having a free for all with multi-skin support.

Last man standing Mode and Deathmatch Mode basically

Quite an easy mode every man for himself... It's all about the skins in this mode - Lose the tattoos for this it's jump in and jump out gameplay

Personally I'll be running around as doctor earheart syringing people in the back and blowing them away with a shotgun

Somehow I see Vass with a butterfly knife

And personally thinking about it if vehicles could be included this is the best place for them in free for all

    A good First-person Shooter should:

    - have precise, manual controls - e.g. no auto-aim
    - put balance, challenge and fun above realism
    - be full of fast-paced real-time action
    - let cunning, intelligence and skill decide who wins (PvP)
    - have simple mechanics: easy to learn but difficult to master

I really really hope that after release they can work on some new modes for fc3 - I have always been a huge fan of CTF & DM Modes so Last Man Standing would be amazing, the skins thing would also be superb and fun at the same time - unsure if it will happen but it would be good for the game IMO, I am also curious at some of the multiplayer footage as some players have hats and satchels and stuff so I am unsure if these are for different selected classes or if it is a random thing. They say no character customization except the tattoo editor. I like your idea a lot, There will be many more characters who we know nothing about from the single player game - I am sure they could give us plenty of choice but as I said I can't see it happening.

Thanks man just trying to offer up ideas really and this one came to me just now... I kind of fancy Capture the trasure for this installment seems to fit better than flags... Perhaps a bit uncharted but I think it would work well but same mechanics and like you suggested you can only use a handhun when you have the treasure... And you can throw it to other players yep remember your post good idea!

Vehicles should be in Free for all and keep the team games balanced I think it is the perfect solution to the "no Vehicles problem" then if somone wants to drive in a vehicle they can and gun from it too say only ATV's and Jet-ski's and dune buggys

seeing as they already have added vehicles and taken them away they can be added easily
Make a few skins of jack carver and the jackal = easy
write game code for rules of deathmatch and last man standing = easy

Like you said it will not happen but it's not alot of work because 90% is already available to utilize in game.

if it shipped with 4 maps even ripped straight from single player or co-op then less work again. the sub pen map simply has a underwater wall of rock that you cannot pass just doctor up a few areas from the game to be a playable space

    Choice is a good thing

I just hope ubisoft start to utilize all the assets at their disposal at this stage and make the most of it and play with what they have

This can be done in 2 months easy at this stage

This mode should be combined with this mechanic I talked about in the first post in this thread

    http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...n-death-Forums

so everone is forced to fight with certain weapons at times to make gameplay more dynamic either triggered by server admin or in game rules (force spawn with loadouts all players)

Bodyarmour should probably feature in this mode also but normal regen health

JES! FFA was always super intense, in any FPS. I've always loved CTF, super intense and very team-based. If what they say is true, (they're focusing on team-play) then CTF would be a GREAT addition.

I'd Really like to see atleast standard deathmatch and last man standing make it in the game.

You would simply select either mode join a server running deathmatch / last man standing and have a player character select.... Once that character is selected by others they will be greyed out.

Weather or not there is performance issues with running multiple skins and a few vehicles If the player slots were to drop to 10 or 12 slots that is not an issue but if 16 slots is possible then great.

after character select it would load up your profile with your loadouts simple as that.

    and off you go.

This mode is always more about fun, and jump in and jump out gameplay.

I am pretty sure that selling a Jack Carver and Jackal skin would pay for the development costs alone but I would prefer if they were included

Kill Streak awards - with Sound effects upon challenges complete / completed Example Vaas "You think this is a game MF" (using clever dialogue samples ripped from the single player and co-op campaign)

    Dynamic gameplay -

    Weapon Challenges
(LMS) All players are forced to fight for a round with exactly the same loadout or restricted to only 1 weapon but with unlimited ammo in some cases e.g. grenade war - all players can only use grenades but have unlimited ammo

Vehicle challenges (DM) i.e.Jump - Make a Jump with the ATV through the repair hut into the water get to specific point basically Bonus points earned or Hog - whom ever can hold the vehicles for the longest amount of time will gain a reward Less vehicles than players obviously in every map..

    Special challenges
(LMS+DM) i.e. A supply crate is dropped into the match first one to break the box open gains a reward) get to specific point but on foot

    Scavenger
(DM) - everyone is stripped of weapons apart from a knife for a period of time and needs to find weapons scattered around the map The Person that makes the most kills during this time and with the most different weapons wins

obviously not overdoing this but random or triggered gameplay events at certain points.

Free for all has always been a more casual type of game and It would be very entertaining if they could pull off somthing and make it really arcade action game. Leaving the TDM Firestorm and Domination as more serious.

To coin a phrase.Last man standing should be called Survivor

When you start a match and the camera swoops over the map the mode should be announced via audio probably in a deep voice like "Survivor" with text and a "prepare to fight" with text this adds alot to the arcade feel and get's everyone worked up When a Challenge is activated for instance "Scavenger" at say trigger at total cumulative score of 50 kills within a mtach This should also be announced with Audio and text and the relevant objective on the Radar displays

Challenges on and off toggle for the server as an option

Thinking about this a bit more LMS or Survivor should not have vehicles and Deathmatch should

Just Learned the original game of Far cry Instincts predator the mode was called Chaos for free for all deathmatch.... So there is another name and perhaps a mode that should make a comeback but obviously I have tried to offer up some new ideas for it too take it to another level of gameplay

A couple more dynamic challenges I thought up using words associted with the franchise History.

Vengence (LMS) - Round based Whom ever kills other players in a round when vengence is activated the first player to get revenge the next round gets a reward... If this does not happen the next round and nobody gets to kill a player that killed them in the previous round then it is carried on to successive rounds until this happens. The player who gets the first revenge kill gains a reward

Predator (DM) - Time based A random player is chosen and there position is available on the radar at all times.and all others are invisible If another player manages to kill the player which is the target on the radar they then become the new target and their postion will be available to all other players from this point. When a player that is displayed as the target makes a kill they then disappear from radar and all others become visible for 15 seconds no matter what noise they make but once you become the target you must make another kill for the radar invisibility and to see all others to take effect. The object of the challenge is to be the Targeted player for the longest amount of time to gain a reward.

Only the player that is the target gains the Radar advantage when making a kill for those seconds all others stay invisible to eachother

Instincts - (LMS+DM) All players positions are available on the radar for a timed duration the player who makes the most kills wins the challenge and gains a reward.

As I was saying this should not be overdone but perhaps have only 1 or 2 challenges activated in any one given match even in round based games just varies gameplay a bit and provides a fun objective to work for and a reward for the player that completes the challenge who may not necesarily win the match.

So in Summary here is the names.

Chaos = Deathmatch Free for all (Special Challenge / Vehicle challenges HOG + JUMP / scavenger / Instincts / Predator) features body armour

Survivor = Last man standing free for all (Special Challenge / Weapon Challenges (many) / Instincts / Vengence)

    Weapon challenges examples for Survivor

Knives only - all players armed only with knives

Grenade war - Frag grenades only (unlimited)

1 of each type grenade / bow and arrow cycle 1 flash 1 smoke 1 frag looped unlimited or 1 bolt 1 flame 1 explosive looped unlimited you need to use each type before you are given another set of 3.

Feral fists - hand to hand throw back to fcip but more hairy hands with long fingernails please

Magnums & molotovs - players get 2 molotovs each and magnum handgun unlimited ammo

Bow & Arrow match - all players armed only with a bow and bolt arrows unlimited ammo

Shotgun Challenge - all players are armed only with shotgun unlimited ammo

I think this would really make a match more interesting sort of like a gamemode or challenge within a mode and good fun for a round or set period of time and create variety aswell as bring back retro gameplay but with an insane twist

One thing I would also like to see if we ever got a Death Match mode is a player cam that zooms in on the winning player when either the time runs down or when the match ends as the winning player got the required number of kills. I can't imagine a Far Cry Game without DM Mode - even better last man standing - if the players killed could then cycle through the players still alive from a Third Person Perspective view until the match is won, that would keep them interested after dying.

Deathmatch and last man standing are standard offerings in online gaming today.... I have tried to give this standard offering something a little extra inspired by the challenges we saw in the co-op multi-player reveal but transferred onto the competitive playing field of deathmatch and last man standing.

Deathmatch is more of a blast but still alot of fun.... But like you say champ it's very hard to beat the tension of last man standing you have everything to lose... when it gets down to 1 vs 1 (last 2 players) if you are one of the last 2 you know people are watching and it build the pressure and the game of cat and mouse. The other player might lob a grenade trying to draw you in giving away there rough whereabouts.

These game modes still feature today in games because they work so well that there is no real need to change them much... But to add objectives and challenges into them at various points would make them alot more interesting. So a game of last man standing where everyone is forced to go up against one another with only bows and arrows for a round canceling your loadout... That I think would blow my mind.... And if you win that then that means you are the best with the bow and arrow weapon and get a reward.... I think it would really add something to the standard offering.

And also like you have mentioned similar to the end of match animations in team death match to display the winner and there name across all players screens at the end of match is cool never played the multi-player on FCIP but if it was in that then it should return In my opinion.

It's the arcade feel to deathmatch and last man standing that leaves you wanting more if ubisoft massive can nail the arcade feel then this would get people gob smacked

Thanks for the feedback.... Although I am not a big fan of dlc skins I think it could be a good way to get a bit of extra revenue to justify adding a mode of this type... With the map editor it will somewhat nullify the urgency to buy map packs but this could be a nice little extra cash for playable deathmatch or last man standing characters obviously you do not need to buy them to play but a skin would cost say £2.50 Of like Jack Carver or the Jackal and unlock them. as opposed to your call of duty model of £20 for 3 maps

Just found this video.... Not the only one hoping for deathmatch and last man standing then
