What do you think of the animations? (I'm loving them)

As an animator myself I really like animations. Idk but the animation in the E3 demo of Sam pulling a guard into cover always makes me smile. Beautiful looking animations. (lol I know ppl will mention the "frog leap" but I mean what do you think of most of the other animations we've seen?

The abduction moves look great. Keep up the good work UBI

Agree, even though I don't like MOCAP due to Desmond looking like a monkey in ACR, and giving away Ironside in Blacklist, I got to say, they really nailed the animation, I hope Closer than Ever is back in a better version than SCC, CT had a great one.

Very mixed feelings, to be honest. I'll start with what I loved.

The Door bash from the E3 demo, complete with the staggered running looked great. Too bad I probably won't see it that much (due to playstyle).

Also, the way Sam covered his ears when preparing to breach the door was perfect. I loved that detail. Same when he called the airstrike, the way he covered himself and still lost balance was very nice.

I also love the standard walk animation. Same as in SCC, but it's still great. Calm yet very concentrated and with the gun down. The crouch run looks good too.

I haven't seen much of the takedowns yet, but from what I've seen, I prefer the SCC moves. One thing I don't really like is how Sam always looks away from the ones he kill in SCB, like he doesn't care. I do understand it's something they've done on purpose, but it's too hollywood for me. In SCC the HTH takedowns were really intense, with no hollywood bs. I know fisher is a bad**s, if not he wouldn't be the main character. The more humanity he retains, the better in my opinion. But then again I'm basing this on very little, so I'll keep an open mind. Hopefully the final result won't feel as michael bay as the E3 demo.

I think the one over the cover abduction we saw looked a bit weird, as if the guard was weightless. Might just be me though.

Also, I think Sam looks a bit too restless when crouched in cover. I felt the same in SCC, expecially when considering that this is a very patient man. He didn't look in control of himself. But then agian, it's no biggie. I do wish we get a standing cover though, but it's unlikely.

While I do love the new crouch run animation, I do think that the crouching animation looks silly. Legacy crouch looked better, maybe because it looked purposeful. It looked like the crouch of a man who was used to crouch a lot. The SCC and SCB crouch looks very uncomfortable.

One thing I think would be a nice addition when he has his weapon drawn, that they could steal from GR:FS is keeping the finger off the trigger. That detail in GR:FS made me so happy. It was a tiny detail that realy showed how professional they were. I think Sam would be at least as professional, so details like that would fit perfectly.

I'm not even gonna mention the climbing nor the speedy ledge walk here, though, wouldn't need to be a psychic to guess what I think of those two.

Very true. I loved tge closer than ever animation. I hope they add the animations in Blacklist like CT. Where when you kill with a knife like so...

if you hold the button he'll put them on his shoulder...although the X button does kill and human shield now...hmmm

I actually like the positioning of the crouch walk in SCC and SCB. That "low profile" looks super intimidating and lethal. But, the crouch walk in CT was brilliant - with the stepless variable speeds - because it looked like Sam was "stalking" the enemies. If they could only mix the two together, that would be great!

couldnt have said it better. Loved CT crouch- new one doesn't bother me too much but I'd like variable speed

I still feel the same way

The animations have always been awesome...some of the best I've seen in games.

And the animations in SCB were absolutely astounding

The Fluid KIM executes which blended together perfectly

The way Sam slit that guards throat....felt like the knife actually met resistance

The way Sam regains his balance and double-steps as he vaults a piece of cover and goes again into sprint mode

I also like the way the characters walked in SCC and SCB with their weapons drawn..they look super-cool walking in that stance

however I just have one minor nit-pick (apart from the wall climbing animation) and that is the absence of the running animation in Conviction. In the SCB demo Sam was running like SCDA Sam....like a jog rather than a run
I really liked the SCC run..it looked badazz and awesome
I wish it makes a comeback and that the SCDA run is a variable speed version (Which BTW is definitely in since the demo showed 2 crouch walk speeds)

Yeah there looks to be at least 2 speeds in crouch mode, which is great news! It would be such a treat if they put stepless variable speed in though. At least for crouch walking.

I think DA's animations for Sam were the best in my opinion. Especially the Closer Than Ever ones.
