Thread: Rocksmith on PC: Getting Steamy! | Forums

    I use steam

I use steam for another game I play on my PC. But I never thought about the people who don't have the console version with a cable. Unless maybe you buy the cable at a retailer and with that you prepay to download the software part of it from steam. The PC version might get packaged that way. I just hope and pray that the songs we downloaded for the consoles can be used for the PC vrersion as well. Then I would buy the PC version and use it instead of my PS3. Then I could record multiple tracks with other software running in the background.

I don't believe this is the norm at all. If it's like other rhythm games, you will have to buy the DLC separately for PC. I wouldn't mind being pleasantly surprised, but that alone still wouldn't be enough reason for me to re-buy the game.

Odds of that happening are astronomically unfavorable because the differences in distributors and distribution methods.

Steam is free. Think of it like a pc game store on your computer. One that will probably have this game in the winter sale for like 25 bucks.

This is great news! I have over 230 titles in my steam library. Steam will auto patch/update the games as well. Looking forward to this.
