Only intend to buy the PC version for steam unless all the DLC released up to this far is also available for PC.. and the bass expansion is included with the purchase.. I hope, I dont mind paying for the DLC again but pretty sure the bass expansion is gonna be a good 15 bucks or more.

The bass version will be included in the PC version. That was established in June.

Just to let you guys know, Rocksmith PC will only be available through Steam. So if you are looking to purchase it you might want to head over to the Steam Site beforehand and check it out.

What, no Origin? It's mine and everybody else's delivery vehicle of choice.

If by vehicle of choice you mean engine of mass rip offs run by the most loathed and underhanded company in the entire gaming industry then you're correct.

By the way, most steam games do not require you to be online to play unless they have features that require you to be online. It can be a bit glitchy some of the time but it's much better than always online DRM. Especially for folks like me who live in the boondocks and have patchy internet at best.

I have no idea what steam is, but I searched their site and can find no Rocksmith information.

And you most likely won't until it is available for purchase.
Steam isn't really a news site, just a discless delivery method for the games.

Steam is a service provided through a program that you will need to download in order to buy and play Rocksmith on PC. It provides services such as achievement tracking, voice and text chat between members, a large catalog of games including a large selection of free ones, as well as provides regular sales at varying discount rates on many major games. over all it's a great service.
