Thread: Ketchup and odd socks | Forums

When I was in New York, my wife and I went for a special meal out at Shelleys in 57th Street -- the sort of place where you would not want to be seen wearing odd socks. The service and the food were first class, but what struck us as funny was when the waiter proudly placed a bottle of Heinz tomato ketchup on the table.

So I was wondering, is a bottle of ketchup on the table considered posh in America?

Sorry, Jerle. -- just testing you.

That depends on wether it's Ketchup or Catsup.

Oh no not the catsup debate again. As an English person I thought catsup was cat sick.

Still reminiscing about your stay in NewYork Thietris?

I've been hunting this forum for all the old names, Speedyserd, Gaberax,Mystmum, where are you now?

Jash! Great to hear from you again. How is the job going? You don't have to be able to play Uru to be in the forum. Speedy's still around - she has a Mac, so can't play Uru either.

    Hi Thietris,

Got made redundant. Today is my last day Got a new job in Preston Lancashire, going back North after 28 years, am scared witless. Will be back online this weekend, speak to you then. What happened to the Myst adventure story, the new forums seem really boring?

How do I get some fancy pictures for my posts?

Jash, which forums are you talking about? There's the Myst IV forums, which aren't boring at least to me, and then there's the Uru forums, which aren't boring either. At least, IMHO. Please extrapolate.

Sorry to hear the bad news, but good to know you've got a new position! I've been in that situation myself, and just started a new job a couple of weeks ago.

BTW, I paid a visit to Preston myself while visiting friends in the UK. They live in Blackpool, and we spent an afternoon in Preston. Fascinating area! I had a marvelous time.
