Only played this song once before, I think it was thrown at me as an encore when I was still playing events 6 months ago. RS Buddy says 15K was my score. I don't remember anything about it. RS Buddy also only shows 2 total scores over 100K, so I'm sure this will be a really tough song and not one I can master in a week, but I'll do my best. I'm taking a day or 2 off from playing, as I've really been over-doing it lately, so in the meantime I'm going to use 1983Electric's video to get familiar with the song and start transcribing the RS notes to paper.

MON: Spent 6 hours replaying 1983Electric's video transcribing and studying the RS notes. No playing, fingertips still healing up from last week.

TUE: Spent 2.5 hours in RR Leveler, MAX-Leveled all sections except Solos. All Solos are leveled somewhere between 71% and 92%. Since my fingers are still a little tore-up from last week, I didn't want to spend much time on the solos today, so I just tried to get them bumped-up decent enough for my first run tomorrow.

WED: First full run of the song, 80,697, and hopefully not my last this week. Wow this song is all over the place, and would be lots of fun to play if my finger didn't still have a gash in it from last week. Really do like this song and want to put a lot of time into it, but it's probably not gonna happen this week. I've got to stop playing to give my finger a chance to heal up, its just too distracting trying to play while avoiding the wound. So, I'll take the rest of the week off and try again on Sunday.

SUN: OK, well took a few more days off from playing and my finger is just about healed up, still has a little skin crack where the high e string can slide into and aggravate me if I'm not careful. I was playing this song with my new Gibson SG Standard, with the stock Gibson 10's strings it came with (the strings that cut me open last week). Decided to switch to my Jaguar since it has some titanium coated Power Slinkys 11's on it, and they are more comfortable strings to play with. Problem with the Jaguar is that my action was too high (about 6/64th) but my bridge was as low as it would go against the body. So I had to shim the neck and then raise the bridge a little bit to get the action nice and low now at 4/64th...feels much better than before. Tuned it up, checked intonation, all good. Decided I want to try to play this song with all the notes, Leveler Bug engaged. Got rocked by the later solos. Looking forward to the manual speed practice tools post-patch so I can come back and work on this song. 87,041.

Oh boy, this might be rather humbling. I love the song, but haven't played in several months. Tried it a few times, but really struggled and decided to put it away until I improved. Not sure what my previous score was but maybe 20K? Should be interesting.

I actually had just bought this song last week. I was going back to some older DLC that I wanted but hadn't bought yet and Jessica ended up being one of the songs I got. I've only played it through once or twice. Should be a good challenge.

Edit: Ugh... image verification for forum posts now? Annoying.

Edit 2: I got a couple runs through last night and a little bit of RR work done on that first riff. Still got a long ways to go. I managed an initial entry of 57,253.

Edit 3: I got a couple sections fully levelled and brought my score up to 65,853.

Edit 4: I didn't spend as much time on this one as I hoped. This is the last chance I'll get to update my score, so I guess I need to be satisfied with a 73,702 this week.

Finally fully leveled everything. I think I played part 5 of the solo at least 100 times. The pic is horrible because I'mon vacation using a tv from 20 years ago.

So originally I was set on "House of the Rising Sun," then I realized how difficult that song can be. It is a beautiful song if you can play it but very discouraging for probably every division player. .

But "Jessica" isn't difficult or discouraging at all. LOL

I was going to skip, but saw the video Steam posted, and I may have to get this one.
