You really want to play all of them to get the full story. Contracts remade some of the levels from Codename 47, but doesn't tell all of the story. Bear in mind there are technical issues with the older games though.Originally Posted by jzsnyder

I bought only the ones that have good singleplayer - CoD 1, 2, 3, 5, 7.

I once bought CoD4, finished the singleplayer in one afternoon, laughed my *** off and brought it back the the gamestore where i switched it with a different game.

Say what you want about CoD now but CoD4 is fantastic. SP and MP were great and still are.
