What did you think of the opening ceremony?
I liked it, but I think non-British viewers might have been confused. Here's to great sporting event - good luck if you've got a horse in the race.

What did I think? I think I didn't watch it....
Watching the men's cycling road race on TV right now. If I was less lazy, I could go out and see it go by for real - the route passes less than a mile away. Not that you really see much. Bloke on bike, being chased by huge bunch of blokes on bikes...
Meanwhile, I se you've been playing with matches again, LF: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-dorset-19019524![]()

God save her...Dame Judi Dench must be looking over her shoulder.
They were all at it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-19036342
My favourite pics from the games so far; nurses, post opening ceremony performance - caught on camera by Joe Public...
Good Lord! Great Britain's won a medal!
This image verification's a pain in the arse, what?

Congratulations
Caught the last bit of the opening ceremony. Got a lump in my throat when they dumped a ton of window on the stadium (if they had lost coverage at that stage, I'd have wept openly).
And the supercamped RAF training bicycles. Brilliant! Those were Poles and Czechs riding them, dont you know.

He was arrogant and proud to be a pilot. Fellow prisoners in hospital consider him mentally unstable."

The undisputed highlight of last night's athletics finale events - perhaps of the entire games. The BBC's John Inverdale gets the best seat in the house during a magnificent performance from a British athlete...Mo Farah did o.k, too...

I think we can call that one a success. That closing ceremony was absolute pants, mind.

Listened to early part on Radio5 at bottom of t' garden with bbq, family and several tinnies of Greene King IPA and Pims. Only blot on the evening as it got dark was my son's suggestion we were no longer eating Waitrose Quality Chippolatas but well cooked slugs.
So farewell twelve billion quid but it was worth it to have the Dutch Ladies Hockey team appearing on my TV every other morning for what seemed like weeks on end and to hear the astonishing roar of the stadium when Mo Farah won the 5000m. My personnal Olympic legacy will indeed be the impression Denise Lewis's bottom has made on my mind (hopefully)![]()
