    Saving Games

I just installed "Splinter Cell: Conviction", and no matter how far I get into the game, when I'm killed or log off and then come back to play (SP) It always starts me from the **** beginning. It seems that along the way the games get saved. But when I log back on it tells me to choose a starting point that both takes back to the start. There's not even a choice to pick "Resume".........Dose everyone get issue?? If not, could someone Please help me out so I don't have to start the game over and over again....

    Thank You.

Hi, it seems the game hasn't had enough time to allow the save synchronization to take place and is overwriting save data. I would suggest you contact technical support who can take a look at your account, the link is in my signature.

I have done that as well. They tell me it should be "Auto Saving" at "Check Points" But it never dose. So their answer is "We don't know". That's why I came here to see if anyone could help me out.....

Hello Ranger_Vet67... I'm a little reluctant to make any suggestions because I don't know what the cause or solution is to your problem/issue, but I'll give it a shot anyhow. I'm inclined to think your problem/issue has something to do with your "save" files/folders; it could be that they are corrupt/missing/damaged etc... let me explain; if your "save" files/folders are corrupt/missing/damaged, then Uplay/Splinter Cell Conviction will ask to overwrite/load the (most current) "save" files/folders from the server, and (in theory) will do so everytime you launch Uplay/Splinter Cell Conviction because your "save" files/folders are corrupt/missing/damaged. Let's try something (I'm not sure it will work, so don't hold your breath):

    1. Navigate to
C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegame_storage (you will have to "show hidden files") or C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\
    2. There you should find folders for each user: Splinter Cell Conviction "save" files are in "2" folder; delete this folder entirely
(NOTE: backup this folder with the files before deleting)

    3. Launch Uplay
    4. Click on the Settings "gear" icon on the right top corner of Uplay
    5. Remove the check mark from "Enable Cloud Synchronization for supported games" (disable)
    6. Click Close
    7. Click Play to launch Splinter Cell Conviction
    8. Start/Continue the Story Mode, then exit the game
    9. Click on the Settings "gear" icon on the right top corner of Uplay
    10. Put check mark back on "Enable Cloud Synchronization for supported games" (enable)

This may/may not work... I'm hoping it will work... keep in mind that you will (most likely) have to start Splinter Cell Conviction Story from the beggining, but it should save all your "progress" from this point forward. Hope this helps/works... good luck.

p.s. It seems that Ubisoft/Uplay has moved the "save" files from their previous location: C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegame_storage\ to a new location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\... this could very well be the cause of your (and many others) problem/issue.
