My favorite outfit for Sam was always the tight black tac suit. I think it was in one or two levels in SAR, but mostly in PT. The style of that suit was the best! They made it look more like a wetsuit in CT and DA which I didn't like as much.

I don't think it was meant to be an equivalent in the traditional sense of the word.
The on from Pandora Tomorrow and SAR were basically Sam's normal getup, but without the camo pants, and with a balaclava.
I imagine Sam's trademark Chaos Theory suit (from Lighthouse) is the 'new' version of the SAR/PT suit, but with the camo pants, and no balaclava.

I voted yes, it's my favourite. Seriously, with all these different variances already, why have a new one? These old ones are "sexy" or awesome enough.
The more I play SCC, the more I think SCC and SCB are more optimized for panther and assault. Playing ghost is not really a fun factor unlike the old SC games. For that matter, I think SCB should at least be played panther or assault (not over use). We all hope SCB is more classic since it is still in production but you can't change the fact that the series is taking this way. Therefore, you play it the way it's meant to be played. Though, I am not ruling out ghosting in SCB, it's possible and can be fun but the game is more optimized for panther/assault.
Therefore:
SC1-4: Ghost player SCC and SCB: Panther/(Occasional)Assault
Overall: GHOST PLAYER
@Jazz: Haha, yeah man I forgot the "I like it, but not love it" option. Also, the last one, Sam's jungle camo outfit from PT, Kestrels outfit reminds me of that suit - just without the camo.
I think that the new suit (on SC:B) looks like the one from Pandora Tomorrow (The first mission)
Anyway i want it back too. I loved the suits from CT and DA.
I miss those creaking floors and the sound of absolute silence when stalking someone and getting closer than ever.
