When I try to launch Splinter Cell: Conviction through the Uplay client (the only way to launch it), says the game is running, when it clearly isn't! How can I rectify this problem?

Hello walale12... if you post your PC specs, OS etc., I can try to assist/help. Good luck.
Same issue.. bought this game when it released, played all smooth. Now after a long time resintalled it and it won't launch with the new effing Uplay.
Windows 7, game fully updated. Would greatly appreciate to get this thing to work.. frustrating. It just shuts itself down right after launching from "Play" button.

Hi there,
Please make sure if you are using Steam, to either launch it directly from Steam or create a new shortcut for the game - Steam games no longer appear in the Uplay launcher.
If it is a non Steam version, and you still have issues - please contact Ubisoft Support.
Links are in my signature.
Reinstalled and repatched the game, working now. No idea what was going on.
I am having the exact same problem with conviction. I am using the steam version, but there is no way to launch it directly from steam. I tried to lanuch it through steam and it just opened the uplay launcher. When I press run game in the uplay launcher, the game starts and then instantly shuts down and the launcher shows my stats saying thank you for playing the game. Ive even tried uninstalling the uplay launcher but when I start the game through steam, it just reinstalls the launcher forcing me to use it.
I am running a retail copy on Windows 7: Professional (64-bit)
I am using an Intel core i7 processor (3.07 Ghz)
My graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 5700 series.
It ran perfectly well in the old Uplay client, but now it's not running, even though Uplay says it is.
(I am the OP, for some reason it's deciding to post under my PSN name).

Hello TheHeavyThatWorks... your hardware is definitely compatible with Splinter Cell Convcition, so I'm just not sure why you're able to log into Uplay, but not launch the game successfully. I suggest contacting Ubisoft Support for assistance/help. Good luck.
Well, I have contacted ubisoft support, they'll probably reply in broken English within 24 hours.
