"The Forgotten Sands", PC: no input at intro screen? Solved! | Forums

I bought the two most recent Prince of Persia titles in the Summer Steam Sale. "Prince of Persia" worked without any problems, but "The Forgotten Sands" would not run. If you have this problem, I have the solution.

1. Install and CD Key worked fine
2. Game loads, Ubisoft logo plays
3. Title screen: "Prince of Persia - PRESS ANY KEY", but no response from keyboard, mouse clicks or gamepad buttons

This appears to be some kind of conflict between Steam's overlay and the game. You should Shift + Tab anyway to remove the Steam pop-up, but you will also need to Alt + Tab to switch back to the desktop. Alt + Tab again to get back in (or click the game in the taskbar) and it will work fine. You'll be taken to the next screen of options for New Game and the limited settings.
