SH5 or SH4? | Forums

I'm about to buy one of these two games (SH5 or SH4), tonight!, and i wan't to hear which one to buy. Fyi my pc is 3 years old with a Radeon HD4600 graphics card and a Intel Phenom (triple core) processor and i have 4 gb or ram. I don't need to run the game on max graphics, i am more into the fun of the simulator, sounds and gameplay.

It's not just about the required specs for the game, but which one is the better/funnier to play??

I would appreciate a fast answer.

EDIT: I went and bought the game as a gift to my self and saved 3 euro ... Although still haven't recieved the gift

So what did you end up getting.
In SH4 your are a Captain of a USA sub in the Pacific, SH5 you are a German Captain in the Atlantic.
SH5 is very graphic demanding.

I decided for Silent Hunter 5. But sadly the game is only half finished even with the patch 1.2 applied? What is going on with the game from the developers side? Does anyone know? I read some posts that Ubisoft abandoned the game, but it was more or less rumors, right?

Sadly SH5 is abondoneware and has been since the 1.2 patch. Any hope of improvements can be found over at subsim.

Glad I read this post. If I had seen it a month ago, I would have suggested SH4, sorry for your loss. I'm going to stay away from SH5 now.
