This and the fact that you have to re-choose your gun loadout EVERY [FRIGGIN] TIME you restart in Conviction were two of the biggest influencers on me on replaying any level more than a handful of times.

The immense loading times were also ridiculous, considering how terrible the graphics were, but that's a different issue.

Anyways, I contacted UbiZack about this a few weeks ago and asked him to address this situation, because it KILLS the replay-ability of the single player missions - "Dead".

He said he will address it in an upcoming material section about animations and similar issues.

That's Great to hear, Zack is doing hell of a job communicating with us.

I am glad that our feedback is being reported by both Zack and Moderators.

hahahaha I bet specially at the PC forum! it's a war zone there lol

In the first week, I accepted the fact that I won't be able to play Ghost Recon on PC for a while because of the bad optimization & the first patch that dropped my frame-rate from 60 to 25
(28 days of waiting & counting)... but complaining & spamming the forum will do nothing. Plus, I'm sure the devs are working hard on a patch to make the game at least playable for all configurations.
Sam : Tell me about the meeting.
Merc : The meeting? Why do you want to know about the meeting?
Sam : that's not the way it works. I ask you a question, and you give me an answer that prevents me from breaking your neck.

The ability to restart a mission would be cool too!
You were only able to restart from a checkpoint and moreover the game didn't really saved your progress. Because if you go back you will see or not see the enemies while you might have killed them or not. Other then that bodies also disappeared very often, especially noticeable in Deniable Ops.

Next time heed my words and get the PS3 Version, if you did so in the first place we would have been enjoying it together, it has issues there as well, but probably way better than the PC Version

    Again "I told you so"

I agree, I ran through the same problem with GRFS, due to the check point being placed right after the challenge, so if I messed up and tried to use the check point system I can't, and there is no restart option, you need to return to the briefing, watch scenes ((which is thankfully skip-able)) then start the mission again and go through the pain of watching the opening scene again which is un-skip=able.

Checkpoint System isn't bad, but it's useless in my opinion if it doesn't save your progress. Like you have shoot 10 bullets and passed the checkpoint, if you load it again you shouldn't have a full magazine again. That's just crazy. Nothing was really saved, you just started from a specific point of the mission where moreoften you wouldn't be able to go back.

Also sometimes they are placed in awkward places and in very wrong fashion.

I believe the Free Save System was best.
