Crashing before seeing a screen | Forums

My game keeps crashing when I click play on the Uplay launcher. Safe mode does so as well. My specs are i5 geforce, nvidia 460 gtx, 4 gigs of ram. My monitor resizes automatically to 720p when it loads, and then the game crashes. Monitor is here, before someone asks. Pcgamingwiki doesn't have any suggestions, so I would love to hear what the possible fixes are.

seems to be PS3 Controller related .. try emulating it as a Xbox .. or unplugging any Controller /USB .. fixed it for me

Im having the same problem.

Found a workaround that worked for me, a bit annoying but well... atleast it works:

1. Open the command-console (cmd) [Just click the windows button and search for 'cmd']
2. type in "Net user administrator /active:yes" (without the "s) and press Enter
3. Press start and log off. Then log in with the new "Administator" account
4. Start steam... start the game... have fun :P

I did both of these, and it fixed it for me if anyone else has problems. (Quotes are from the much more useful steam forums)
