What are the chances for us, community to get modding kit for this beautiful game you guys are making? I am a big fan of Splinter Cell series, and I think you guys are great for putting so much effort into this title. I see a lot of titles lately getting modding support by various developers and Steam Workshop is a great place for it.

I understand that releasing modding kit is not that easy, it comes with a lot of work and consequences. For instance, if you release modding kit then there is no point in you making DLC content. That would be counter-productive move for you. Unless you were to only release like a strictly map editor. Not the modding kit in the full meaning of that term.

I can't help but be skeptical about it, even though I am here asking it.

What I would like would be a map+mission editor.

You can create maps with objects which are available from the maps created by Ubisoft and you can share them. Also you can design missions with objectives the way you want and of course with restrictions to lethal/non-lethal, objective/kill, allowed weapons/gadgets and maximum of detections and sounded alarms. You could for example change "retrieve object" or "sabotage object" into your custom thing "retrieve document/tool/gadget" and put it on any object anywhere on the map. Then you could upload them for others to play or play them yourself (maybe also with a friend).

DLC'S wouldn't be for nothing then. They would not only introduce new objectives and new map-objects to use, but also have developer-created maps and storylines (with voice and stuff and a real story). In that way the Developers could also sell this map/mission editor in a DLC and concentrate more on creating the new game/next Splinter Cell, while just now and then releasing useful DLC's.

That would be a really good idea for SC7.

Support the Blacklist Checklist and hopefully SC:BL becomes the game we ´ve all been longing for, and we all hoped it would become.

Sam Fisher: Let me guess - three alarms and the mission is over?
Irving Lambert: Of course not! This is no video game, Fisher!
