My objective is too frive along the road until I reach the archive, however there is a destroyed bridge with one end raised too high to jump over. I am stuck here. please tell me the resolution,

yea thats where i got stuck...u have to go back...down by the beach and drive on beach and u will come to the light house...

How do you get to the lighthouse?

I just drove down every path I could. I drive to an area I can't get past. I turn around and try another way. Took a while but eventually wound up at a tower with a fox lift next to it.

The tower overlooks the area you have to get to. Pick up the sniper rifle there and let mercs kill off the Trigens then snipe as many of the mercs as you can then sneak into the camp.

You need to cross the barricaded bridge(ie you won't get a vehicle over it).

However, it didn't help me.

I can go to the dock by the lighthouse, but can't cross the water and actually get to the land where the lighthouse is. The downed bridge to the left has me perplexed, too.

I see the fox lift, but it seems to be for when you're returning from the lighthouse. Perhaps I'm trying to cross at the wrong spot...

I believe you can turn off onto another path before the wiped out bridge. The thing is it just doesn't appear to go in the right direction. Don't worry about the direction of your destination til ya get there

If you see the fox lift you are in the right spot(At least I hope so. I only found one fox lift). If you are at the tower above the foxlift you need to cross the bridge on the chasm opposite the side of the tower with the lift. The bridge should just be barricaded. You will need to take out the guys in the machine gun turret and a few snipers first.
