It's been a long time, but I'm back

After a very long hiatus, Kaleun Hueywolf (me) is back. Things have changed a bit here, as I only recognise a few names from the old days. As those who remember me would also remember I became quite sick. All recovered, all well.
PM me (my old comrades) for a full run down on what actually did happen - but it was all quite hectic, dramatic and tragic. I am about to get back into this game but my last update/mod was Grey Wolves. If we have advanced on from those days, please enlighten me.
Anyway, good to be back and hope to hear from my old comrades soon. Any new comrades who wish to say hello will also be more than welcome

    Welcome back,
The whole design of the forum was changed a few months ago. Hope you get use to it.

    Happy sailing Captain !!

Yeah... been a few years for me too.... had to get more into real life and always felt I abandoned my boat and crew... I had worked my way up to late 1942 or so I think... been away mostly since 09...methinks! The last few things I recall was the tracking of the comic books from the '60s or 70's that were going around the world... I think I was within 2 or 3 of getting them, but they disappeared in Australia or someplace as I recall. Back then we had a picture competition every month, I got a win or too and some runners up, but SH4 was getting a lot of members and everything kind of slowed down.
jmanwell and I had visited the USS Silversides (summer 2008) and the U-505 (Spring 2009) and posted a lot of pics as well as I posted screen shots of the original Silent Hunter game, now called SH1 most of the time. Since those days I made it to USS Batfish October 2011) and USS ***** (August 2011) as well. More trips are in the works too. I was alone at Batfish with the museum curator so I got a LOT of stories and was able to spend a LOT of time there... he stayed open late and all that. When I went up to *****, it was for the annual reunion of the original crew and jmanwell and I got to spend a good while with Torpedoman Charlie, stern tube 10 who had his 18th birthday in the after torpedo... somewhere in the Pacific.
Well, enough rambling, maybe I can start revisiting the forum a little more often.
I still remember "deepbluewolf" and some others that are now on eternal patrol, and suspect we may have lost a few others since...
I'll see if jmanwell and I can combine our pictures and post them as well as the stuff I got aboard Batfish.

Big Hey to the old-timers! yeah, I was not expecting this forum to still be alive -- well, it's here but it has changed it's format and definitely the active members.

But whoever remembers the "waiting for the first patch" day and gripe posts of SH3 - a glass of a cold brew is raised in your direction.

... and if you are still browsing this forum, post a reply here just to say hello!

Hi Hueywolf123, I remember you well. I don't imagine you'll remember me (I'm kinda quiet unless I got something to say) but have still visit here every so often. Activity did just seem to tail off didn't it chaps, VikingGrandad was just retiring and Realjambo was still around as was Tuddley3, then my desktop blew up and then some R/L happened. Still play, though not as much as I like now as I managed to have a little and get married, plenty of time to play when I retire I think though, I've no intention of throwing out my XP rig no matter what she says
