I play a lot other games but this has never shown up except with SCC which I have just bought at steam sale:

Every 5-30 seconds my diretion of view jumps dramatically, eg. 135 degree to the left and 60 degree to the ground. Besides of that the game runs very well but is kinda hard to play with all that random jumps in the view direction.

System is XP, mouse is a Logitech MX518.

Any ideas?

Playing around in the Ini-Files didn't help, resetting them to fresh install didn't help either.

I did plan for a while upgrading to Windows 7, my XP is a bit old and while running stable for everything else it is nearly three years in use. Maybe updating will help.

Hello Crass_Spektakel... I don't think it's your OS that causing this problem/issue (WinXP is a great/stable OS)... I'm leaning toward hardware incompatibility... if you post your PC specs so I can take a look and see, maybe I can assist or make some suggestions. Good luck.

Do you have any other controllers plugged in, like a gamepad, race wheel, joystick? Maybe a webcam with software to convert webcam input to view control or other input? Any of those might have default view assignments in the game that you're not aware of.
