Driver: SF stuttering issues. (PC please help)

So I bought Driver today in the steam sale and have spent the last two hours trying to figure why it stutters every 5-10 seconds, in the main menu, pause menu and also in-game. I have turned V-sync and AA off and my computer can easily run this game on max settings. Please help I hate to think I just wasted money buying this game 'cause of some stupid bug.

It's terrible, the game is broken it even lags in the starting screen.

Same issue over here too. I have also tried everything, from updating drivers to turning all the settings down to nothing. I should easily be able to play this game with my 560ti, but every minute or so it hangs(stutters). There is also a thread topic on the steam forums about this same issue: http://forums.steampowered.com/forum....php?t=2825043

Same thing is happening... Was really excited to play it, but the freezing makes it unplayable. I posted about this on the steam forums as well.

It seems now that it is a network issue. Steam users have said that without the internet connection there are no hangups.

I was just going to say that! Turn the game into offline mode (through the uPlay client). I read this thread and was wondering what the hell people were talking about, but I just started it and noticed it’s freezing every minute or so for a second. It’s a network thing indeed…

Yessir. The steam sale must have been too much for them.

My game is not a steam version and I still have this

And I just noticed… turning the game into offline mode didn’t help, I had to turn my wifi off… but I bet tomorrow it’s gone anyway, it’s always like that!
