@ Rox
Would you have played it if the Prince looked like in the first pic I posted on this thread ?
Yeah, it looks better, not great, but much better.
EDIT: LOL, seriously, image verification to post a simple reply? Thanks for giving me more reasons to never again post on this forum.
Infra structures and concept art have been larger than life in the first 3 games. I can't say the same about POP 08. Don't get me wrong but the first three games had the best concept art.
@grafferu: It's always better to sync character design with the game's design. Warrior within was about a vagabond prince who wanted to change his past and i think robes don't actually slow the prince down. It was a great character design in my perspective. Look at AC, His robes are much more than warrior within prince yet still looks fluid in performing acrobatics. I can't say the same about POP 08. Character design was stiff IMO.
Woah, did rox jus post in here. I thought i would never see her again in these forums.
Stiff ? come on, even his clothes were moving when the wind blew, and Elika's hair as well. Their moves were fluid and natural.
As far as concept art goes, I think we got more and more as the years went by, POP 08 had a lot, and proof of that is the artbook that came with the deluxe version of the game.
Anyways, what do you guys think about the similarities in this pic ?

They said about Sands of Time (the first game) that they exaggerated the proportions of the palace to enhance immersion for the player and make them really feel like they were IN the palace.I think viewing the buildings from the outside in POP 2008 gave it a different feel and they didn't exaggerate the proportions, making the builldings seem much smaller and less grand even though they were gorgeous. Something for them to think about with their next production.
As for the Prince, Bobby's right, he wasn't stiff. He was, however, a lot heavier than the previous character. Face it, the guy's built like a rock. Thankfully, he's not like Kratos though, and he's plenty agile. He just wieghs more and hits harder. Still, if they want to add more fluid clothing to his costume, that'd be fine too. Emphasizing that part of his coat that flows behind him would help too.
@Bobby: Further suggestion that those guys started as corrupted. Honestly though, the way they turned out in FS, I'm not disappointed to have missed out. Those guys aren't very impressive foes. Corrupted need to be a lot more robust and intelligent.
