Can't get by the opening News screen to play | Forums

Every time House MD loads, the News screen comes up too large to see all of it including the X to close the window. This has happened ever since I started playing last week. However up until yesterday I could click any button on the news screen (like "Buy"), then close the screen that opened and go on to playing.

That does not work now because none of the buttons on the News window do anything. Buy Now, Invite Friends, etc. don't work. This is on Firefox and Chrome both and on two different computers, one running Windows 7 and one running Windows XP. The game won't finish loading at all on Internet Explorer.

Yes, I have tried adjusting the Zoom level many times. The flash frame containing the game won't adjust. It didn't help so I went back to 100%. No use. I tried rebooting because hey, why not? My browsers are on the latest versions.

Any other ideas?

Problem partially solved for now... hope it lasts. I got the screen to display properly in Chrome by clearing my cache, history, etc. I just nuked everything. I expect just clearing the cache would have done the same thing. So now the News window is the right size. I can click the X to close it. Still none of the buttons on the News window work (e.g. Buy Now) though.

I'm glad to hear you found a solution. In regards to the other issues you are still experiencing, please check your installation of Flash to see that you have the latest version: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

I have the same problem about the screen not having an X out button since last night so I can't play at all. Even clearing my cache wont work. Still no X out button, no buttons on them work except getting credits and when I X out of that the screen is still there. So there is no way to get around this screen to play and its frustrating.

Chrystal,

Did you try toggling between full screen or re-adjusting the size of your browser?

The "Toggle Full screen” button is located just under the favor points icon in the top right of your screen.
