PS3 - Splinter Cell Trilogy (disc) Installation Slow/Freezing
Greetings! This seems to be a huge problem with this particular disc. I'm sure Ubisoft has been contacted a number of times about this, undoubtedly, because there are questions and complaints about it littered all over the internet. Unfortunately it seems just like every other American company that Ubisoft doesn't have the common sense to actually test their products before they release them (d'oh!). The problem is that the "Installing data, please do not switch off the system" screen that appears when first starting the game is stuck at 26% and has been for two hours. From what I can glean from numerous other reports about this online, the installation is supposed to reach 100% sometime between four hours and never, and even then likely to automatically corrupt the game data and/or your entire PS3 system randomly afterwards (Go Murrica, go!). Now I know that eating sugary snacks and sleeping 30 hours a day is important to all incompetent people who seem to find themselves in charge of American companies or corporations, but you have to find a balance between doing that and actually testing your products and remedying the problems found as well as respecting your customers. I have more than 20 GB space free on my Playstation 3 system and am in full compliance with every criteria required to install the disc data. If Ubisoft had actually tested their products before releasing them, this wouldn't happen. But then again we do live in a country where 30%+ of the population can't find the United States on a map and undoubtedly some of those people end up with positions in incompetent and lazy companies such as Ubisoft so what can you expect? At least you're not as stupid as Infinity Ward, but I say that never having played a multiplayer game of any of the Splinter Cells so I don't know if players in that spawn on top of grenades or shoot an enemy in the head 30 times only to have the enemy turn around and stab them and run away. If anyone smart out there can weigh in on the problem with this disc, please reply with a remedy and later hopefully accept some kind of nominee prize for being smarter than anyone in charge of American companies! Thank you and best wishes.
