I have my rifleman with the F2000 right now. If I turn off the game and turn it back on, he'll have out the ACR.
I think this is what he means.
The game resets the character to whatever the loadout he had equipped before the DLC.
It really isn't that big of a deal, you can just swap the guns out, ummm, rather easily. And my F2000 still is customized the way I want it, meaning you don't have to remake the gun everytime.
Not really sure if this is what OP means at all, his post is rather vague and seems to be written by a 9 year old.
And this happens with all of my characters, not just my rifleman.
