Good day, Ubisoft. Now I shan't be complaining endlessly, but I must admit that your services have been quite bothersome lately.
First off, as I decided to finally play From Dust yesterday, (I had bought it a while back on Steam, but never quite got to playing it) I noticed Uplay had updated. Now, personally, I do not mind an update. After all, we all know Uplay isn't exactly the best DRM, but it worked.. most of the time.. and an update would surely make it work all the time, correct?
So I quit the gamee shortly after, and decided to check if any of my other Ubisoft games needed some sort of update. So I went through the list; Assassin's Creed 1, 2, Brotherhood and Revelations... seemed to be working fine.
Next up was Prince of Persia- you know, the reboot one.. and it seemed to boot fine, albeit curiously without Uplay.. I didn't boot Forgotten Sands, as my friend came in and we wanted to play some games; as he noticed me going through my Ubisoft list on Steam, he suggested we play Splinter Cell: Conviction.
And there came the suprise. I had to input my CD key. Well, okay.. so I did that. And.. it said it was already used; ofcourse it was! I finished SCC a while ago, and the only reason I boot it is to co-op with my friend.. But now I couldn't?
So, obviously, I decided to hit the Support site. Only to.. keep getting errors for EVERY SINGLE PAGE. Couldn't login, couldn't ask a question, couldn't do ANYTHING without running into the same error page.
Out of pure frustration, we decided to play a different game, and I forgot all about it.. Until I checked in later, to see what the Uplay launcher was all about- and there it was; Splinter Cell: Conviction, in my Games tab. Together with Forgotten Sands; none of my other Ubisoft games, but those two were there.
As I buy all my games through Steam, and quite a lot of Ubisoft, mind you, it wasn't so suprising that none of my games appeared, but why did those two? I checked Forgotten Sands from Steam- and it asked for the cd-key as well. Ofcourse, it was late, so I signed off and went to bed.. Only to find out the next morning NONE of my Ubisoft games were working- aside from those not requiring Uplay; because I couldn't log in.
Now.. I can only ask.. what is the deal, Ubisoft? I would like to be able to play my games, thank you. I almost regret buying Driver: San Franciso yesterday, considering I have no way at all to play it!
Could you get back to me on this? I'm looking forward to AC:3, and I would like to be able to play it properly, thank you. And please, don't.. don't refer me to the contact pages. All of them seem to be bugging out on me, your support page is STILL broken, and I'm not going to pay for phoning you guys up; I already paid enough for your games.
