That interview eases my worries a bit, glad they are trying to cater to all 3 archetypes of player. Sounds like Deus Ex: HR and that is a good thing
It makes me laugh when I think of interrogation gameplay...
Somehow, I picture Sam stabbing his knife into the terrorists shoulder, then up pops a little 3D model of the blade in the terrorists shoulder.
You then have to roll your thumb-stick into 1 of the 4 quadrants, and the joystick will rumble after your blade hits a nerve. Then you jiggle the thumb-stick into that quadrant until the guy breaks and gives you a bit of info.
Repeat for "unlocking" each piece of info.
...how Splinter Cell will have changed if that's turns out to be the case!!

Haha, thats actually the exact same way i imagined it. And im pretty sure, thats how itll be.
On another note, the interrogation was probably a bit different in order to save time and be to the point. Also they made it very vague so there is no story plot revealed. this is what i assume. Since the short demo interrogation seemed really fast and inconclusive. It feeled editted funny and a bit off. Especially that point where it cuts to the cutscene and the guy busts the computers.
I recommend that instead of him shooting the computers in a CUTSCENE, grim should say " sam quick, get him before he destroys the data!!" and you have to grab him. Then the cutscene starts. ( beland himself said that when a cutscene start or a loading screen starts, people put down the controler and lose connection to the game) And there can be an achievement for it too. "prevent the data from being destroyed" or something like that.
and in order for the plot not to change, when you check the computers, the data is missing. So, grim can be like. "**** we're too late!!!" This makes the game that much cooler. Especially cuz theyre small details, yet themake a huge difference.
an example like that from Conviction can be when youre chasing Grinko, and he runs into the bathroom, and right before you bust it, he shoots a few rounds and they create holes in the door. I liked that, that was cool. Now if only all doors did that. That linked with ambient lighting, you get amazing graphics and a nice polished game. ....either way. I think my point is clear.
