Internet access problem
I am ahuge HOMM fan. I have played the whole series just to get Might & Magic 6 and I can't activate or play the game at all! I bought the game. Then did all 6 the patches:
1.1, 1.1.1, 1.2. 1.2.1 1.3 and 1.4. I then registered a new Uplay account and tried to log in to activate the game so that I can play offline. However I have not been able to login in over a week and I am still not able to play the game at all. It keep saying "INTERNET ACCESS PROBLEM: even though I am connected and is obvious because I am on here right. I contacted Ubisoft support and they told me to open all ports of my proxy server. We don't use proxy servers here in South Africa. We are on Vodacom wireless USB modem. I even went to a high speed DSL internet cafe and it says again "INTERNET ACCESS PROBLEM". I made sure that the game exe file and game launcher are both on my firewall safe lists but nothing is working! Is there any fix for this? I am not interested in playing the game online. We pay a lot of money here in South Africa for our poor internet speeds so I just want to login once to activate the game and play offline forever. Any suggestions...
Did u try to turn off ur firewall just for that 5 minutes? just to activate the game.....don,t open ports if you are not playing online.
Hi thanks for replying. I turned of my Avast firewall and disabled all the shields. I also turned off Windows 7 firewall. The only other virus programs I run is Malwarebytes and Spybot. After all that I still get the same "NO INTERNET ACCESS" message. It sucks. It is like I am not online because it says the game doesn't support offline logins but you can still play the game offline. However when I click the offline mode button it says that you must login at least once online. If I am not online how can I type a message on this forum?? Still hoping there is a solution to this annoying problem...
Hi. Your problem looks weird. Did ur game luncher updated to the new super duper Uplay PC 2.0.2 (I think this is the new version number)? Are you able to log in to Uplay PC on your PC? Or u cant even log in?? I can see u can log in to your UBI account on the website cos u were posting here. I'm asking cos there is a known issue with the new Uplay PC client. :
My Uplay login and password do not work in Uplay PC though they work on the website.
Your Uplay password might actually be shorter than you think!: Uplay passwords are a maximum of 16 characters. The Uplay website actually does not register additional characters in the password field, but Uplay PC does. Make sure you only type in the first 16 characters and you should be logged in.
And just another thing do you have your Uplay configured to run in online mode ????
Hi as far as I know my username and password is the same for the game launcher and online when I log onto a browser. I tried to download the new Uplay PC client but when I click on the link it doesn't open or download for me. I also don't know which version of the game launcher I have? How can I check? I googled it and found a few sites to download but none of them worked. I think it is ridiculous that Ubisoft doesn't have a valid link to their latest game launcher! It makes no sense. Their support team have contacted me twice now and they keep saying we must open all ports but mi ISP and the internet cafe I visited recently both told me that all the ports are open...

Also, This is how you check your version number. It is 2.0.2 right now:
And you have to make sure your Uplay running in online mode at firs start! It can be a problem too! ( If you are offline)
Make sure you UNTICK The Always start Uplay in Offline Mode!!
