As a PC Gamer I would like to say that the Minimal Requirements for Max Graphics on most Games are too **** high! For instance BF3 where they said u would need 2xGTX580 to play it on a Ultra settings without problems and me(Amd 6870) and a friend of mine(1xGTX580) could play it without problems on Ultra settings. I think its just for making the game graphics looking more awesome.

It's not overkill, his GPU is pretty low-end now. It runs 5/4 year old games at 30-50 FPS on medium/high settings.

However, it's still better than the GPU used in both the PS3 and the Xbox 360, so he'll be able to run AC3. Probably only on low/medium with no AA at 30FPS, but he'll be able to run it.

Yeah, it is way below the "overkill" line. Sushi, do you own a gaming PC?

That's what you get for buying pre-built. Buy a CPU cooler and either get a better case, or add some fans to your current case.

There is nothing wrong with pre-built...../: Some of them can do you well without having too construct a PC.

You pay more for less, that's what's wrong with it. Yeah, they might serve you well, but for the same price you could have gotten something twice as good, or paid half the price for the same thing.

If you're not a big gamer and you just want to use it for everyday tasks, it's fine, you're just the Average Joe.

But if you go out and buy an Alienware then you need a slap.

Well, the Alienware is overpriced, but I guess some people just dont want too build and go with it.

I can play Battlefield 3 and GHost recon Future soldier on my GPU ATI 4670, with Intel i7 core, 8gb ram, very smooth. Maybe this can give you guys hint that whether I can play AC3 or Splinter cell Blacklist on my Laptop.
